The Monarch was a special kind of man, one you don't encounter often in your life.

He was tall, wore rimless glasses, and had not aged much, a typical ancient man. His grandfatherly kindness spewing out of his pockets had earned him the title "King".

He was also rich, a very rich man. Being living royalty, his family had acquired a mountain of wealth over the years.

Grace once asked, "Dear, why do you only wear black?”

He replied. "Because it's easy to mix and match with

other clothes". He was never able to lie to his wife, who knew him better than anyone.

His father, a war hero who survived the Gallipoli battle in the First World War, and his mother, an artist who got pushed to her limits in the Great Depression, joined hands to make him and his 11 siblings' childhood carefree.

But the life was not always a happy one for him. His childhood wasn't a perfect one. He too witnessed bloodshed, poverty and depression.

The Great Depression

The Great Depression of 1929 affected hugely upon his family. The war almost bankrupted the empire, yet to recover from the loss, the family was hit by the

Great Depression. And, like most of the families that lived in that period, fell into dire economic circumstances. He once said, "money did not make him happy." But nevertheless, this war hero refused to let his family shrink into the gutter.

During the Depression times, the Empire had seen its pay decrease by four times, while it had seen its inflation also go up by four times.

He used his military salary to feed a family of 11 kids. The only good thing that came out of his father's silat conquest was the victory. Nevertheless, the monarch was

depressed by 70's denigration fear by the dwindling values of his princely family.

King Henry VIII came from a dominant royal family. Nevertheless, the birth of his children had been the kingdom's death knell. The royal empire had wars and debts for the days' bread. The king spent over a million pounds to get his children born in his later years.

And on that note, as the subcontinent lay in ruins, the King Henry VIII was anointed.

In the 25th June 1910, King Henry VIII was established. And nine years later, the same date, Menen burst out a son.

Menen was twenty-one in 1923. Like most of the young adults, he returned home with his wife, he brought the monarch of the people a grandson. Their marriage was love, and also blessed with seven children. But the inhabitants of the nation were not as happy about his family.

The princely family was already losing its wealth in the twenties. That's why the King would certainly understand the emptiness of the position. He saw himself as a part of the people and a sentimentalist, and he also felt he was a protector to the refugee.

The king was aware of the sorrow. The nation had been trembling for many years. That was all going to change...

A beautiful wild china-white maid, a kindhearted lady, had however taken away the innocence of the princess. The princely son was now aware of the fact that the royal empire would collapse soon.

He now wanted to help the people, because he saw the ordinary people as a part of the royal family. The royals were the followers, not the leaders.

And so, the Prince now decided to get together and unite the nation. But his first step was to greet the people and share his love to them.

The King and his family visited a number of homes in the capital on the day that was his coronation and was accompanied by President Harry S. Truman and Mrs. Truman for a fourday visit.

The king's first step towards the people was to reconcile the monarchy's social gap. By inviting the commoner to their housegating, he

made the royals depend on the commoners for their daily livelihoods and for their celebration called ???? (Ikatan).

He exchanged many words with the strangers. The visitors at the coronation showed their gratitude for the kind gesture. He then shared more of himself to the average men and women, and it was said that the king became a very

good singer.

"My reign is going to be all the more glorious because you'll

see me before I see you. And when I get to the end of my

goodlife, I want you to be the only one I will remember."

His motto along with his royal coronation was
