When you post good quality content and when you upvote others whose posts become popular, then you can be paid for the work. For a good introductory guide to Steemit, you might check out the e-book that some of us wrote, which is only 99 cents. If it's not available where you live, then you can get most of the same information here on Steemit, but it is a complex system. If you are comfortable having fun as you learn it, then just try things out and you'll learn as you go.
