How do you govern and how do you take over a hostel area and then govern it?
If you find yourself next to a Masonic lodge I could promise you there is a church within two to three blocks. This is to grab hold of a certain area and influence the way people think. It is also used to preform rituals. Gotta watch the video to hear why.

The way the Masons gained influence back in the late 1800's was by building churches and giving the impression that they are helping but they were just digging into that town to take control of it. It has been going on for ages.
