Dear Steemians.

Narrated, one day Uzair was passing through a ravaged country. The famous opinion says that the crossed country is Baitul Maqdis, Palestine. He crossed after the country was once destroyed by Bukhtunnashir. The population was also killed so the country seemed deserted. Ezra crosses the collapsed buildings. He paused as he pondered why the condition could have happened, whereas before it was crowded. "How will God revive this village after he died?" It was said after he saw the destruction of a great village. Then God put her to sleep for 100 years. God revived him. First is his eyes so he can see, the next is his limbs. When he awakens, God asks him through an angelic messenger. "How long do you live?" He replied, "One or half days." Because when he feels asleep, the time is day and when it rises also during the day.

<*Then Allah said, "Surely you have lived here for 100 years. Look at your unchanged food and drink; and look upon your donkey (which has become a bone); We will make you a sign of Our authority for men; and look at the bones of the donkey, and We will rearrange them; then We clothe it with flesh. "And when it was evident to him (how God raised the dead) He said," I am convinced that God is Almighty over all things "(2: 259).>

Once convinced of God's power, Uzair returned to the village by climbing his donkey. He witnessed the village has been filled by many people. When passing people, it turns out they do not recognize it anymore. He went to his house and there was a blind woman who was about 120 years old. As told by Ibn Kathir, when Uzair left his people, the woman was 20 years old and had previously known Uzair well. "Mother, is this the house of Uzair?" He asked. The woman justified it and cried. For, for 100 years no one has mentioned the name. Uzair also introduced himself and told of his death for 100 years. She did not trust him. Uzair is someone who mustajab prayer. And, he always prayed for the sick and the unfortunate to be given health and healing. "Pray to God to restore my sight, so that I can recognize you."

Ezra prayed for her recovery. He then wiped his hands to the old woman's eyes. By Allah's permission, the woman was healed and could recognize Uzair. The woman then went to the Children of Israel and said that Uzair had returned. However, the Children of Israel did not immediately believe it. After the woman had testified who she was, the Jews immediately said that Uzair was a child of God. His son also recognizes Uzair from the black mark that is between his shoulders. They finally asked Uzair to recite the Torah because they no longer knew about the Torah, because it had been burned by Bukhtunnashir. His father Uzair, Sarukha, had hidden a book of the Torah in one place and only Uzair knew the place. So he dug it out and took the law out of the ground. Uzair then contemplated the contents of the Torah he had remembered and the Children of Israel noticed him. God then inspired the Torah and delivered it to the Children of Israel. Since then, by the Bani Israil (Jews), Uzair was called the son of God.
