Queen Seondeok was born between 595/610 and died in 647. She was daughter of King Jingpyeong(567?-632) and Queen Maya of Silla.

She was twenty-seventh ruler of Silla and the first reigning queen of Silla (nowadays South Korea). She was the second female sovereign in recorded East Asian history. It is said that she was generous, benevolent, wise, and smart.

She became the first queen of Silla in 632 and reigned until 647.

In 647 before her death occurred Bidam's Rebellion. She managed to quell him with help of generals Gim Yu-shin (also known as Kim Yu-shin)(595-673) and Kim Alcheon(577-654).

She died in February 17, 647 (January 8, 647 according to the lunar calendar). The exact circumstances of her death are unknown.

I knew about this historical personality interested in the history of South Korea and South Korea's historical drama series. And I knew that a historical dramatic series about her has been created-,,Queen Seondeok".
