Opposition Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) faction on Monday executed three people convicted of killing seven Civil Defense workers in August in northern Idlib province, local activists say.
The armed attacker on August 12 attacked an office of White Helmet or White Helmet helmet group in the city of Sarmin, killing seven members and stealing two vehicles and other equipment.
In the same way, White Helm workers were killed, Hay'at Tahrir al Sham's group then executed the attackers by being shot in the head.
Sarmin used to be a stronghold of the Jund al-Aqsa armed group that clashed with HTS last year before many of its members were allowed to go to Islqmic State (IS) areas, which they are fighting for now.
White Helm White defense volunteers appeared in 2013, working to rescue civilians in the besieged opposition.
Since then they have gained international fame for their courageous rescue action, often filmed and circulated on social media, and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016. (st / Orient)
