Great post, thank you, George William Gordon was new to me. One of my friends is a descendant of Paul Bogle, the stories of the Morant Bay rebellion are still big in his family. Interesting how my knowledge of Jamaica is expanding through reggaesteem, gradually putting together all the little fragments into a bigger picture.

Decedents of a hero, I can imagine the family reunions. Paul Bogle seems to be a favorite amongst the Jamaican heroes as he was a church man, but a warrior with a cause, much different from the church men we have today in Jamaica. That is good to know, not just the music but knowledge as well. I myself have learnt a lot from the community.
