The Beauty Of The Traditional Resident Area In Nakaneupseong

in #history6 years ago

The traditional houses were well preserved in Nakaneupseong. The inside of the houses were fixed for better living condition. The preserved the outside of the house, but the inside was improved for the contemporary living standard.

In the past, the ordinary people had lived in the straw thatched roof house and the riches in the tilting roof house.

The houses of Nakanseupseong were almost thatched roofs. The colors of this thatched roof made me think when I was a kid. At that time we lived in those thatched roof house.

The roofs of those thatched houses were so beautiful, so I took photos to show you.

Sometimes there lived the birds and the snakes which have no poison. So cat must be raised in those house to prevent rats in the roof.

While walking this village, I saw a cat sitting on the top of thatched roof.

These thatched houses reminded me the ancient houses in Highlands, Hebridean islands. But they were build from stones and sometimes long to accommodate few families and sometimes animals. That is another similarity with our two countries. It is good to know that the village Nakaneupseong is in such good condition and people respect the tradition.
I have a web site with the thatched roof house up, just if you are curious to see how similar they looked like:

The beautiful of historical buildings like this can not be overemphasized, because it take a lot of ideas and energy put together to bring up the building which has really stand the test of time. Weldone boss @slowwalker for sharing. This is massive!

Nakaneupseong must be a magical place to visit. Your photos transported me at times to that place that I do not know but that I want to get to know someday. Good post. Greetings.

The differentiation between rich and poor is very simple to see. I've seen them present in Korean dramas as well. I'm glad to be able to see life-like houses as compared to those I've seen in dramas, where some of them have been made up.

The people have living in those house, right?

A beautiful scenery Many years ago people lived in such a place.I was really impressed by this beautiful scene.

I've never seen such houses before, it's so different to the west/central European architecture. From above the roofs look like mushrooms.

As always, I love your amazing photos and your unique point of view. And the cat on the roof is very important, too (I say that while my cat is examining this photo on my screen very carefully).
Thank you!

hey @slowwalker its very nice to seee this kind of houses, thank you for this. Its hard to find this kind of house. Im glad you stopped by.
