The great mosque of Baiturrahman

The first destination if visiting the banda city center of Aceh, it is the Great Mosque of Baiturrahman. This is a historical site that has existed since the era of the majestic Sultanate of Aceh and survive until today.

Post-tsunami renovation efforts cost Rp20 billion. The funds come from international assistance, including the Saudi Charity Campaign. The renovation process was completed on 15 January 2008.
