I am specially a foodie. I Love to try different types of food. Last month I went to Izakaya to try their Japanese and Korean food. Generally I like Korean and Japanese food the most among foreign food.
I grew up watching Korean series and Japanese anime since childhood. It was great to see their different types of food on the TV screen then. Since then, whenever I hear about a new South Asian restaurant, I go there to try their Japanese or Korean dishes. But out of all the places I've eaten at, Izakaya has to be one of the best. I am their regular customer, today I feel like sharing my Japanese and Korean food story with you.
My favorite dish is Spicy Chicken Ramen. Originally, I became desperate for ramen after seeing the hero and heroine eating ramen together in Korean dramas. They served this in a big bowl. I can't eat one bowl alone as the amount of spice is so high.
Honestly, every item in this restaurant is a bit of a fusion, infused with local flavors. To me, this fusion is more tasty than original Japanese food.
The chef here is a Japanese gentleman, doing his job with great care. The kitchen is visible from the outside - every effort has been made to maintain the Japanese atmosphere and service inside.
Some of my favorite items are Spicy Chicken Ramen, Chicken Cheese Katsu, Chicken Cheese Maki Roll, Scallop Pan Cake and Beef Taco.
Food prices here are relatively higher than other restaurants. But I would say there is value for money. If you want to eat a little better, it will cost 700 to 1000 taka per head. I usually try South Asian food once a month. Besides, I normally like pizza and burgers the most.
I always have one with me. Because it is not possible for me to eat so much food alone. But I feel like I can eat a lot while ordering. Sometimes I package some food and bring it home. Sometimes I try a little bit of food and pack it and give it to street children. I feel so happy when someone is smiling because of me.
