The day or our long date started early in the morning with some quality time together. After noon we were starving and went out. The original plan was having pizza, but since we were going out, I took the chance to propose going to a Chinese restaurant.
So we ended up up at La Gran Fortuna. This place is somewhat near my usual route for the bus. It is perhaps the only Chinese restaurant left in town that has not changed owners and still retains some of its original things. The inside is quite beautiful. Looks like a piece of China in the city.
There are Chinese kids around. That's how you know it is somewhat authentic.
The choices for our food were simple, beer, fried noodles and orange chicken. Maybe the noodles are the most authentic thing in the mix. We also got some egg rolls. The food was greasy good and packed with flavor. The orange chicken was on the right amount of sweet and the noodles kept getting better the more you are then.
It was indeed the best choice. Next time we go, I'll make sure to take some photos at the restaurant's inside. And the best part is that the potions are quite generous. They added the option if having smaller rations. That is good in case you go alone and want to have different types of plates in smaller versions.
Although it took some time to get a waitress, once she arrived, all was good. We ate so much, it took a while to move from the table and go outside.
Chinese food was the best choice for a long date that included a stop for tea and then ice cream.
