Este fue un fin de semana improvisado donde no necesitamos ponernos de acuerdo, simplemente se dijo, salimos a comprar las cosas de una vez y llegamos a mi casa preparandolo todo. Y aunque nadie tuvo un papel en específico, sabían cada quién qué debía hacer.

Uno de ellos se encargó de cortar todo lo necesario para preparar la proteína con que se rellenaron las empanadas y quiso también cocinarlo porque dice que tiene buen sazón, le creímos. Utilizó la mitad de los vegetales para cocinar un poco con pollo desmechado y la otra parte con carne molida

This was an impromptu weekend where we didn't need to agree, it was simply said, we went out to buy things all at once and arrived at my house getting everything ready. And although no one had a specific role, they each knew what to do.

One of them was in charge of cutting everything needed to prepare the protein to fill the empanadas and he also wanted to cook it because he says it has good flavor, we believed him. He used half of the vegetables to cook some with shredded chicken and the other half with ground beef.

Ya en este momento estaba casi todo listo y solo faltaba amasar para comenzar a armar el lugar y freír las empanadas, como toda una señora empanadera coloqué mi bolsa en el mesón con todos los tuppers y los ingredientes a la mano. Quise freírlas yo porque ya saben lo que dice, el que cocina come más jaja. Uno de los chicos preparó la masa ni muy blanda ni muy dura, perfecta para poder sacar la forma de la empanada. Yo suelo echarles un poco de aceite al estirarlas en la bolsa y es un truco que me funciona muy bien, quedan perfectas de textura. También se le añadió una pizca de sal y azúcar al gusto para el contraste de sabores salado-dulce.

I also added a pinch of salt and sugar to taste for the contrast of salty-sweet flavors.

Pensé que me iba a arrepentir de haber decidido armarlas y freírlas yo por el gran trabajo y tiempo que se lleva, pero fue super rápido la verdad y todos quedaron demasiado satisfechos, hice aproximadamente 30 empanadas y todas variadas: pollo, carne, también de queso y pollo con queso, que es una de mis favoritas. La salsa de ajo la trajo ya preparada uno de los chicos y estaba muy buena, el sabor me trasladó completamente a mi pequeño lugar Lechería que comía siempre empanadas los fines de semana para desayunar y solían ser bastante buenas con su respectiva salsita. Así que este si que es un plan super para pasar un rato diferente con amigos, todo esto mientras se escuchaba Youtube a todo volumen con una lista muy variada entre rock, indie, reggeaton y vallenatos. Recomiendo no saltarse este plan.
