Maravilloso y bendecido inicio de semana, me alegra compartir nuevamente con ustedes, en esta oportunidad les traigo unos de mis almuerzo favorito se trata de hígado de res con cebolla, pimentón y salsa inglesa acompañado de papas al vapor y plátano, este plato es muy nutritivo ya que el hígado contiene proteínas, vitaminas y minerales aún así hay que consumirlo moderadamente, aquí les dejo el paso a paso de esta sencilla receta.

Wonderful and blessed beginning of the week, I am happy to share with you again, this time I bring you one of my favorite lunch is beef liver with onion, paprika and Worcestershire sauce accompanied by steamed potatoes and banana, this dish is very nutritious because the liver contains protein, vitamins and minerals even so it must be consumed moderately, here is the step by step of this simple recipe.

  • 300 gramos de hígado de res
  • 1 cebolla grande
  • 1/4 pimentón rojo
  • 1/4 pimentón verde
  • 1 diente de ajo
  • Sal y pimienta al gusto
  • Salsa inglesa
  • Ajo en polvo
  • Aceite
  • 300 grams of beef liver
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/4 red bell pepper
  • 1/4 green bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Oil, oil and salt

Lo primero que hacemos es lavar bien los vegetales y cortamos en tiras el pimentón y la cebolla el ajo lo picamos pequeñito; lavamos bien el hígado con vinagre escurrimos y aderezamos con sal, pimienta y ajo en polvo mezclamos y dejamos reposar para que agarre sabor.

The first thing we do is to wash the vegetables well and cut the paprika and onion into strips, chop the garlic very finely; wash the liver well with vinegar, drain and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder, mix and let it rest so that it takes on flavor.



En un sartén colocamos un chorrito de aceite y ponemos a sellar el hígado damos vuelta y vuelta hasta que se doren, retiramos de la sartén, en esa misma sartén colocamos otro chorrito de aceite y ponemos a sofreír la cebolla y el ajo al marchitar le agregamos pimentón salteamos por unos minutos.

In a frying pan put a dash of oil and put to seal the liver, turn and turn until golden brown, remove from the pan, in the same pan put another drizzle of oil and put to fry the onion and garlic, add paprika and sauté for a few minutes.



Colocamos nuevamente el hígado mezclamos cocinamos a fuego lento y por último añadimos salsa inglesa cocinamos por unos minutos para que agarre el sabor de la salsa ya listo retiramos del fuego.

Add the liver again, mix, cook over low heat and finally add the Worcestershire sauce, cook for a few minutes so that it takes on the flavor of the sauce and remove from the heat.



Para completar este plato cocinamos al vapor unas papas al ablandar le agregamos margarina y perejil y freímos unos plátanos con margarina y un poquito de azúcar.

To complete this dish we steam some potatoes, add margarine and parsley and fry some plantains with margarine and a little sugar.



Listo nuestro plato lo servimos caliente y disfrutamos de este fácil y nutritivo almuerzo este hígado lo pueden acompañar con el contorno de su preferencia.

Amo el hígado de res. No entiendo cómo hay gente que no le gusta. Yo lo preparo igual solo que a veces le agrego tomate y este Ingrediente también le da un gran toque.
