It is my first publication in this community, so I decided to present a very own and typical recipe of Venezuelans which are the tequeños, a dough of wheat flour stuffed usually with cheese, they have a similar appearance to cheese fingers or "cheese fingers". They are originally from Venezuela, although they are also widely consumed and elaborated in Peru and Colombia, where they are known simply as 'deditos', but in recent years the tequeño has become a dish widely consumed in European countries, mainly in Spain and other parts of the world.
Yo hace ya un tiempo trabajo en la elaboración de snacks para fiestas y eventos, donde nunca faltan los tequeños de todo tipo aunque hoy les traigo una receta básica y simple hecha en casa. Por supuesto documentaré todas las preparaciones que pueda para compartirlo con ustedes. Espero les guste tanto como a mi y lo intenten en sus casas.
I have been working for some time now in the elaboration of snacks for parties and events, where there is never a lack of tequeños of all kinds, but today I bring you a basic and simple homemade recipe. Of course I will document all the preparations I can to share it with you. I hope you like it as much as I do and try it at home.

• 1/2 kg queso blanco
• 1/3 de taza de agua
• 3 tazas de harina de trigo
• 2 cucharaditas de sal
• 2 huevos
• 2 cucharaditas de mantequilla
• aceite para freír

• 1/2 kg white cheese
• 1/3 cup of water
• 3 cups wheat flour
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons butter

We are going to start our preparation by adding the wheat flour in a container, then with the help of a spoon we make a hole in the middle, then we add the salt and margarine. Then we add the egg in the center, we begin to mix adding water little by little, after the ingredients are already integrated into a smooth and elastic dough we let it rest for 15 minutes.
Once the time has passed, divide the dough into portions, sprinkle the dough with flour and stretch it with a rolling pin giving it a rectangular shape. It should be very thin, about 2 millimeters thick in the shape of a long rectangle.
Luego cuadramos el pedazo de masa quitando los bordes y sacamos tiras de 5 centímetros de ancho extendida a lo largo.
Then we square the piece of dough by removing the edges and take out strips of 5 centimeters wide stretched lengthwise.
El queso blanco debe ser firme y cuadrado o rectangular, lo troceamos en el tamaño aproximado de el que deseamos nuestros tequeños en mi caso los usaré alrededor de 5X1 centímetros para proceder a armarlos.
The white cheese should be firm and square or rectangular, we cut it in the approximate size we want our tequeños in my case I will use about 5X1 centimeters to proceed to assemble them.
El armado puede ser confuso pero en realidad es bastante sencillo, para que el queso quede bien sellado dentro se dobla la punta de la tira de masa hacia dentro del tequeño sobre el queso y rodeándolo de arriba a abajo y luego verticalmente sobreponiendo la tira sobre si misma con una ligera inclinación hasta llegar al final.
The assembly can be confusing but it is actually quite simple, so that the cheese is well sealed inside, fold the tip of the strip of dough inside the tequeño over the cheese and surrounding it from top to bottom and then vertically overlapping the strip on itself with a slight inclination until reaching the end.
Una vez formados lo mejor o mas optimo es refrigerar al menos una hora antes de freír, ya que al estar congelados de mejora bastante su textura y para cocinarlos se hace colocándolos en rebosante aceite caliente hasta dorarlos.
Once formed the best or most optimal is to refrigerate at least one hour before frying, since being frozen improves their texture and to cook them is done by placing them in overflowing hot oil until golden brown.
Y listo tenemos deliciosos y crocantes tequeños para degustar, cualquier duda que pueda responder estaré al pendiente.

With those wrapper, the results will have crunchy texture. In my city, I have similar Snack like this, but usually filling with banana and sweet potato. Maybe you can try to change the filling to make new variation 😊

Esos tequeños te quedaron perfectos 😊 deliciosos para un buen desayuno☕ una receta que forma parte de la tradición de nuestro país.
Eso es lo mejor de esta receta tradicional nuestra podemos tenerlos de desayuno o a la hora que deseamos, por mi parte soy amante número 1 de los Tequeños.

En ésta ocasión hice más de 100, debes sacar las láminas de masa lo más delgada que puedas, si te animas a hacerlos intenta con ésta receta estaré al pendiente.
Me encanta esta forma de enrollarlo porque estoy segura que el queso no se va a desbordar. Debo probarlo así a ver qué tal.
