Octopus season is over, and today I want to share the last recipe that I prepared with this marvel of the sea, an easy, practical, super delicious recipe that I named Octopus with Garlic. It is a seasonal dish that is why it is so special, fortunately I was able to take advantage of it on several occasions and prepare different recipes for my family who love it anyway. I hope you like this preparation that has the following ingredients:
- Octopus (3 units)
- 1 onion
- 1 head of garlic
- concentrated chicken broth (cube)
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil
It is necessary that we wash the octopus well and remove the entrails from its head, then put it in a pot with enough boiling water and a little salt. It is a matter of seconds, we will see that it changes color and hardens a bit, so we will know that it is ready. We let it rest out of the water and when it is cold we cut it as small as we want. On the other hand, cut an onion and garlic into slices.
Place a pot or frying pan with enough oil to fry the garlic, add the octopus while continuing to mix, fry for a few minutes and add the onion. We mix and we will notice that the bottom is very juicy and the aroma in all your kitchen is wonderful.
When the onion has changed color and texture, add a pinch of salt, pepper and the chicken cube, mix and remove from heat, leaving the preparation covered. We are going to prepare the salad and the rice to accompany it.
The salad is the most typical with which we accompany the fish in Margarita, it is onion, tomato and cucumber with salt and mayonnaise, I did not have cucumber this time but it is not a limitation In the same way it is a delicious companion. Cut the tomato and onion into slices and mix in a container with the salt and a tablespoon of mayonnaise.
As a final touch I added green paprika cut into small cubes, it is a refreshing touch and it gives it a more special touch, I love green paprika... but you can decorate and give the final touch with cilantro or chives. Play with flavors and textures, have fun cooking with whatever you have at home and the result will surely be delicious. I hope you liked my preparation today, a big greeting and see you soon.
