Hello lovely Hive community people!
I am Mantasa welcoming you all to my daily blog. I’m new here and I hope to get your support and spend a wonderful time with you. Today I will share one of my favorite foods – Naan bread served with chicken curry and chickpea lentils. I’ll also share the cooking process along with some useful tips.

If you want to make this perfectly, make sure to follow my process carefully—don’t skip any step!

🍞 Process of Making Naan Bread:

First, take a mixing bowl and add 1–2 teaspoons of sugar with 1 cup of warm water. Leave it for 15 minutes so that the yeast gets activated.
Then add a pinch of salt and the required amount of flour to make a dough. Brush some oil on top and leave it for 2 hours. During this time the dough will rise and double in size.
After that, knead it again for a few minutes and cut into small portions. Roll them into thick breads—about double the thickness of regular chapati. Fry them on a pan/tawa until cooked. That’s it—our perfect naan bread is ready! (You may also add milk powder for extra flavor.

🍗 Process of Cooking Broiler Chicken Curry:

Usually, when broiler chicken is cooked, it tends to have a smell that many people dislike. But if cooked properly with the right tricks, it becomes very delicious. Here’s how I do it:

First, heat a pan and add oil.

Once the oil is slightly hot, add chopped onions and whole garam masala. Fry until onions turn golden brown.

Now add the chicken pieces and fry them well with the onions before adding any spices. This removes the smell and gives a much better taste.

Then add spices: ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt as required. Fry well.

Keep sautéing the chicken, adding a little water in between, and repeat this about three times. Finally, add enough water, cover the pan, and let the chicken cook until tender.

When the oil separates and floats on top and there’s no frothy layer in the gravy, the curry is ready.

🍲 Process of Cooking Chickpea Lentils:

In a pressure cooker, mix chickpeas with chopped onions, garlic paste, cumin paste, salt, turmeric, and green chilies. Add some oil and mix everything well.

Add the required amount of water depending on how thick you want your dal, then cook until soft.

Once boiled, heat some oil in another pan, add panch phoron (five-spice mix) with chopped onions, and fry. Pour in the cooked dal and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Delicious chickpea dal is ready!

🍽️ Serving:

Serve naan bread with chickpea dal and chicken curry on a plate. For an extra touch, you can also prepare a fresh salad by mixing cucumber and chopped onions.
