It is a pleasure to be here again telling you about my culinary experiences or sharing my recipes with you. Two weeks ago my husband went on vacation and to celebrate he bought some meat ravioli for lunch. He works in a supermarket and since they were on sale because they were reduced in price, he bought them to try them and see how they were. So today we will taste the meat ravioli of the brand Rikisssimo, the good pasta.

Undoubtedly, I had to add my personal touch and make a sauce to dip them in because the way they came in the box I didn't feel like it at all. So I made a sauce with pears, onion and cooking cream. I really liked this combination of sweet and salty and obviously I made it especially for these ravioli.
There are an infinite number of brands of ready-to-serve prepared food on the market that are very good as is, but there are others to which we must add our personal touch because their presentation looks very poor. I am not eating ravioli all the time but my husband bought these because they were "supposedly" very good and sold like hot cakes at the supermarket where he works. Since I am very picky I put them to the test and prepared them just as the instructions on the box indicated. So that there would be no mistakes in their preparation.
✓ 1 brick de 200 ml de nata para cocinar.
✓ 2 peras medianas.
✓ media cebolla.
✓ sal y pimienta al gusto.
✓ una cucharada de margarina
✓ 3 cucharadas de queso rallado para pasta de tu preferencia.
To recreate the pear, onion and cream sauce; use the following ingredients:
✓1 brick of 200 ml of cooking cream.
✓ 2 medium pears.
✓ half an onion.
✓ salt and pepper to taste.
✓ 1 tablespoon margarine.
✓ 3 tablespoons grated pasta cheese of your choice.
The preparation of this delicious sauce is super simple: you chop into small cubes the onion and the pears previously washed and peeled. I softened them with ¼ cup of drinking water, and then sautéed them with the margarine. Once they were golden brown, I added pepper and salt to taste. Then I added the cooking cream and let them cook for 10 minutes. And finally I added the grated pasta cheese.
The plating was simple, it looked very nice. But the ravioli left much to be desired because inside they had no meat, rather they had a dough with a meat preparation that was not very appetizing. I still ate them because the sauce gave them a unique touch. But would I repeat this experience of buying boxed ravioli? Absolutely NO. Or at least, not from this brand. I think the best option would be to make my own ravioli dough from scratch and fill it with real meat. Something that I have made at home and that has a lot of flavor.
So don't get carried away with the idea that some ready-made or quick-to-make foods are good just because you see a lot of people buying them a lot. Sometimes people buy them just because they have a good sale price and that's what their economy can afford. I'm all about tasting things to see why we can't be swayed by a mass opinion. Because between tastes and colors, good flavors are essential for an excellent culinary experience.
