Muy bien. Ha llegado la hora. ¡Saludos a todos! Una de las cosas o platillos por lo que todo el mundo me preguntó cuando estuve de viaje por Argentina fue por su popular Asado. Y para seguir poniéndoles la duda, y seguir acrecentando la curiosidad, no le diré nada. Nah, mentira 🤣. Quiero compartirles la reseña tanto de la comida como de los restaurantes en donde nos lo sirvieron: La Clotilde, ubicado en Palermo.
All right, it's time. The time has come. Greetings to all! One of the things or dishes that everyone asked me about when I was traveling in Argentina was their popular Asado. And to keep putting doubt in your minds, and to keep increasing the curiosity, I won't tell you anything. Nah, bullshit 🤣. I want to share with you the review of both the food and the restaurants where they served it to us: La Clotilde, located in Palermo.
Durante nuestro primer día de paseo, pasamos toda la mañana caminando. Pero llegó la hora del almuerzo y el hambre se hacía sentir. Además, que habíamos caminado bastante y el cuerpo ya estaba exigiendo su dosis de comida. Así que abrimos Google Maps, y empezamos a ubicar restaurantes. Conseguimos uno que ofrecía asados y que quedaba a unos 10 minutos caminando de dónde estábamos. Así que nos dirigimos al sitio.
During our first day of sightseeing, we spent the whole morning walking around. But it was time for lunch and we were getting hungry. Besides, we had walked quite a bit and the body was already demanding its dose of food. So we opened Google Maps, and started to locate restaurants. We found one that offered asados and was about a 10-minute0 walk from where we were. So we headed to the place.

La Clotilde se encuentra en Jerónimo Salguero 2692. Ubicada en una esquina y tiene una gran fachada verde y rojo. El restaurante estaba un poco vacío, pero la razón es que en Argentina tienden a cenar pesado y tarde, así que se llenan luego de las 9 de la noche. Eran como las 3 de la tarde cuando fuimos a comer, y aun así estaban algunas mesas ocupadas cerca de las puertas (hacía algo de calor). Nos trajeron la carta y pedimos una parrilla completa y un litro de cerveza para los cerveceros del grupo (me incluyo).
La Clotilde is located at Jerónimo Salguero 2692. Located on a corner and has a large green and red facade. The restaurant was a bit empty, but the reason is that in Argentina they tend to dine heavy and late, so they fill up after 9pm. It was about 3 pm when we went to eat, and even then there were some tables occupied near the doors (it was a bit hot). They brought us the menu, and we ordered a full grill and a liter of beer for the beer drinkers in the group (myself included).

El sitio era gigante, y ame la decoración porque no es lo que estoy acostumbrada a ver en mi país caribeño. Aproveché en un momento de ir al baño, y tomé algunas fotos desde la parte de arriba.
The place was gigantic, and I loved the decoration because it is not what I am used to seeing in my Caribbean country. I took advantage of a moment to go to the bathroom, and took some pictures from the top.

Asado, vacío, matambre, chuleta de cerdo y pollo. Además de chorizo y morcilla. De contorno tenía arroz y puré de calabaza. Y por supuesto, un provolone flameado en la mesa. Esto fue lo que nos llegó en una tabla gigante que ocupaba toda la mesa. Era tan impresionante que una pareja de turistas que estaban cerca de nuestra mesa se acercaron para pedir el favor de tomarle una fotografía a dicho espectáculo.
Asado, vacío, matambre, pork chop and chicken. Plus chorizo and blood sausage. On the side I had rice and pumpkin puree. And of course, a flamed provolone on the table. This was what came to us on a giant board that took up the entire table. It was so impressive that a couple of tourists who were near our table approached us to ask for the favor of taking a picture of the spectacle.

Debo decir que era la tercera vez que comía asado, pero las dos primeras veces no contaba mucho. La primera vez fue horrible, y la segunda, la sirvieron los mesoneros por porciones pequeñitas, así que no sabía que me estaba comiendo.
I must say that this was the third time I had eaten asado, but the first two times didn't count for much. The first time it was horrible, and the second time, the waiters served it in tiny portions, so I didn't know what I was eating.

En esta oportunidad lo supe, lo veía y comía. Todo estaba exquisito, pero lo más impresionante era la suavidad de la carne. Ni la mejor de las carnes que me haya comido en Venezuela le llega a la suavidad de la carne argentina. Se deshacía en la boca cuando lo comía. La sal suficiente y no lleva más nada. Uno de los cortes tiene una capa crujiente que le daba un toque aún más delicioso. A toda esta parrilla que nos comimos muy relajados.
This time I knew, I saw it and ate it. Everything was exquisite, but the most impressive thing was the tenderness of the meat. Not even the best meat I have eaten in Venezuela could match the tenderness of the Argentinean meat. It melted in my mouth when I ate it. Just enough salt and nothing else. One of the cuts has a crunchy layer that gave it an even more delicious touch. All this grill we ate very relaxed.
Lo más impresionante de todo fue el precio. Pagamos aproximadamente 35 $ por todo lo que consumimos, incluidas dos litros de cerveza y unos Sprite para los que no tomaban cerveza. ¿Qué les parece?
De verdad que la comida en Argentina ha Sido una experiencia de 10 puntos. Ya quisiera volver para comer más asado, porque definitivamente el asado, las papas fritas y el helado, son de las cosas más deliciosas que comí en mi vida.
Most impressive of all was the price. We paid approximately $35 for everything we consumed, including two liters of beer and some Sprite for the non-beer drinkers. What do you think?
Truly, the food in Argentina was a 10 point experience. I would like to come back to eat more asado, because definitely the asado, the french fries and the ice cream are some of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my life.
