This is a tough one. Based on everything I have seen and read, it seems like if you have no underlying conditions and you are pretty aggressive with the way you treat yourself you should be able to get through it. Granted, it sucks for sure. I have a friend on Hive that was infected and it sounded like a week or so of excruciating living. I guess I am not one to talk right now since I have a hole in my leg after not realizing my wound was infected...
