Here, have some facts:
Fact: I talked about civility, about treating people as people. Your reply was this:
Donald Trump is literally murdering children in yemen, and you advocate for erasing that fact
So yes, you did conflate me with the murder of children in Syria. Don't try and weasel out of that one.
Fact: David's video asserted that the climate around the 2020 election is ugly. I asserted that the ugliness started a long time ago, due to an "us vs. them" mentality. Go look, that was the first comment you replied to.
Fact: This rhetoric is not new to the 2020 election. Similar sentiments also prevailed during the 2016 election. There was similar rhetoric at that time, as well.

This tension isn't new, it's only progressing.
Fact: the dehumanization of a group is the fourth stage of genocide. We cleared the first three a long time ago. We classified ourselves into this mentality of staying with one party, that they party matters. Then we assigned labels to those who weren't aligned with us. Libtards, conservitards, and the like. And we've seen outright discrimination, too! Look at all the fighting between Antifa and counter-antifa protesters. Neither one truly holds the control, for now. Eventually, one will take over, and we'll see even more of the fourth stage, dehumanization. Given how you've reacted to me, you might already be at that stage. You see those who disagree with you as vermin, monsters that need to be squashed. A blight on this country. I've certainly seen that mentality play out. Actually, one could make the argument that America is already at the 5th stage, Organization, by now. We've seen the Proud Boys and Antifa pop up, as well as other smaller organizations. As the extreme members of all parties draw their battle lines, they'll amp up the hateful rhetoric. Like yours, seen below:
Being nice to murderers is not civility, it's erasure of their crimes and their victims.
Again, taking what I've said to an absurd extreme. Not once did I talk about being nice to murderers, I was talking about people who disagree with you. The only way an assertion like yours would make sense is if you saw those who are not aligned with your political beliefs as murderers. Going back to the dehumanization of stage 4 again.
Fact: You replied to me, starting this whole chain of comments. You involved yourself in this, not the other way around. If you didn't want to get into a discussion, you shouldn't have started it. I thought you unfollowed me, what gives?
Fact: I voted for Dubya, Obama, and Gary Johnson in the last 15 years. I am loyal to no party or candidate. Not like you needed to know, but you seem to think I'm a fan of Trump. I'm not, and I really don't appreciate the conflation.
Fact: You really should play Warfraft. It's quite good. Okay, that's not so much a fact, but it is a good idea.
