Hey @dmitrydao,
I got an question about the steem proposal system.
I dont fully understood yet, how the daily pay is calculated.

I assume it has to do with the daily budget, the existing proposals and the number of Votes (SP) an proposal has.

It would be great if you could explain to me how much SP has to vote on an proposal to generate the daily pay. or if you have an link to an article where this is explainded, i didnt find it on the website.

Thank you in advance

The daily pay is calculated based on the following rules:

  • The total daily budget is 1% of the overall budget. The budget is formed from @steem.dao account.
  • You need to have enough votes to have a chance to receive daily payments. The votes are based on the total sum of SP held by voters or proxy votes of these voters.
  • Once you have enough votes, you'll receive payments every hour. For example, if you request 240 SBD per day, you'll receive 10 SBD every hour during that day.
  • If your daily amount in SBD is more than the overall budget, you won't get paid even if you have enough votes. This means that you can be out of payments at any given point simply due to power down or proxy removal of one of your voters.
  • If your daily amount in SBD is less than a budget, you'll get paid either 100% of your requested amount or partial amount. For example, if the total daily funds left is 350 SBD but you ask for 400 SBD, you'll receive only 350 SBD because that's how much is available for the current day.
  • All of the funds that are not paid to proposals are paid back to @steem.dao account via return proposal.
  • Any voter can unvote your proposal at any time for whatever reason. So make sure you provide reports and do the work that you originally described.

Hope that helps.
