Some Thoughts About the Lockdown - Lockdown Day #30

You have to admit that being locked in your home for 30 days it has to change you a bit... The most important thing is to try to keep yourself healthy... firstly mentally, but also physically... After some time, your brain starts to examine things around your, perception of the world, your decisions, and other's decisions also...

As always, I like to clarify some things at the beginning... Coronavirus is real and it exists... Who made it, or how it was created, it's another topic, and maybe we will find the truth after some time (or not)...

Living in a country which is among the first 2-3 in the whole world by the number of infected people and passed away, makes you think after a month of spent in isolation... I don't want to talk about media and their consistent pumping the story by spreading panic and fear all over the world... That's their "job" (or it's not?) as they are doing that with every possible news that they find...

Back to the facts... We had the most popular website for coronavirus stats that everyone is watching, and you can check it here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/... They have some numbers there which can be true, or a bit "adjusted", or maybe totally fake... But, let's assume that they are real...

So, total people tested positive on coronavirus from the beginning of the pandemic (almost 2 months, and knowing that 1 full month was the worst one), we have around 0.36% cases in the whole country population. From those cases, around 10% had an unfortunate end or 0.037% of the population...

There are some signs that the number of death by coronavirus is also "adjusted", by crediting some other death to the coronavirus "toll" which can be noticed by a sudden rapid decrease of deaths from pneumonia (just one example)...

As I said at the beginning, the virus exists, and it is a serious thing, but... is it really necessary to keep people locked in their homes for 1 month ('till now) with 1 more month for sure? There are countries where people follow some main rules of precaution and they are doing fine... Is this virus serious as they said in the beginning? (It will die 10-20% world population by it)...

Some of you will probably disagree with a lot of this, but we had swine flu, bird flu, and many other "world killing" viruses before with similar panic spreading and we have survived...

We will survive this one, but how will our society look after? Will we think about our lives at all, or we will just follow recommendations by our all-mighty "rulers" aka politicians... Are they really trustworthy and more intelligent than us?

Take care,

~ph~

Aloha PH!
Thank you for your thoughts about the Lockdown. Great ideas.

Hi Karalee! Thanks for the comment!

Nice post Zoltan, unfortunately the video is giving a 503 error right now, not sure what is going on.

But yeah here in Sweden we only have a few restrictions plus some more recommendations, and it seems to go fine so far, the curve has leveled off and holding steady right now, also we should know more about actual numbers of infected soon, since up until now we have only tested the people needing hospital care.

We also have a very small amount of multi generational households, especially compared to most other countries, our old people live in retirement homes for the most part, which also means that most deaths has been in migrant dense areas where the old people don't live as much in retirement homes.

Stay safe, awesome and alive.

I don't know the video didn't work... probably 3speak problem, but it looks it's fixed now...

And, you are maybe right.. and Sweden is a totally different world... I think that you have the best medical care there... and Spain with recent changes in medical care is paying the price... I don't want to mention the US, as they are the worst with all those people without health care at all...

Stay safe!

Yeah it seems 3speak was down for quite a while and now up again, and as to medical care we have yet to start using the field hospital that the military put up, regular hospitals are still able to handle all cases so far, though they have reorganized quite a bit to have more places for intensive care, the corporate media seems determined to implement more restrictions though, despite most things pointing in the right direction, have an awesome day.
