The army has stated there is no imminent threat to Vindman's safety and the reason they did the assessment was at Vindman's request. According to people who worked around Vindman he was the kind of guy everyone loved to hate...he couldn't be trusted and they often left him out of the loop. So maybe Vindman brings on a lot of his own drama by his own calculation of self importance to the overall scheme of things. They have a saying for guys like that, being he's the type of person who could destroy a wet dream.
There may be a few people out there who call him up and called him an asshole but relatively it amounts to getting right to the point then the round about way his co workers described him. I am sure many found the comfort needed that justice was served upon him by being outed on national television for the jerk he really was, is. Laughter does tend to quell anger.
So far his fears hasn't come anywhere close to that of Tucker Carlson and his family when leftist made a visit to his house and threw themselves up against his door trying to get in while screaming things at his family while he wasn't home.
