I’d actually never heard of human sacrifice by Hindus before. This is quite shocking.

I might be wrong but it seems that human life is typically less valued in countries that have extremely large populations or very low living standards. Or a combination of these two things. China, for example, will happily operate iron ore mines where people die on an almost daily basis. Apparently this is normal for them.

I think this is a combination of not valuing human life and the practicing of a religion that views women as less important than your family dog. They are almost encouraged to kill their women it seems.

The Assam police have arrested Hanuman Bhumij and Arif Uddin Ali who is believed to have brought the sorcerer to Bhumij's house, while two others alleged black magic practitioner named Gabbar Singh and Ali s brother Jalal Uddin are absconding.

Looks like the police got involved.
