Empecé un 2023 rodeado de viajes, estuve en Cancún junto a mi hermano celebrando mi graduación y de paso saliendo de compras. Fuimos a la zona hotelera donde por primera vez toque la playa aunque no me bañe en ella pues había mucho viento y oleaje. La zona hotelera es uno de los lugares donde caminas y puedes encontrarte a un cocodrilo bien cerca en su propio hábitat, de solo pensarlo aterra un poco, pero aun así la foto no podía faltar.
I started 2023 surrounded by travel, I was in Cancun with my brother celebrating my graduation and going shopping. We went to the hotel zone where for the first time I touched the beach although I did not swim in it because there was a lot of wind and waves. The hotel zone is one of the places where you walk and you can find a crocodile very close in its own habitat, just thinking about it is a little scary, but still the photo could not miss.
Luego junto a @manuphotos nos fuimos a la provincia de Pinar a participar en un evento de Hive en la feria del libro de esa misma provincia. Regresando partimos destino a Girón con amistades de mi universidad, visitamos La cueva de los peces, donde @manuphotos perdió el anillo de matrimonio (algo que le va a salir caro haha) y ahí algunos buceamos con snorkel y otros con tanques. Es un lugar hermoso para compartir y bucear.

Then together with @manuphotos we went to the province of Pinar to participate in a Hive event at the book fair in the same province. On the way back we went to Girón with friends from my university, we visited La cueva de los peces, where @manuphotos lost his wedding ring (something that will cost him dearly haha) and there some of us snorkeled and others with tanks. It's a beautiful place to share and dive.

Después de este viaje, vino la noticia más esperada y era la confirmación de mi embarazo, pero eso no me limito para volar de nuevo a mi otra tierra, a mi México lindo y querido, donde por suerte hice un viaje perfecto sin ningún síntoma de embarazo, cosa que llegando a Cuba cambio por completo.
Tenia que esperar unas semanas para confirmar mediante ultrasonido (US) que el test no tuviera un error, y ahí está mi primer US donde el embrión ya estaba creciendo.
Luego de esta noticia mi vida fue cogiendo un rumbo más tranquilo, pues tenía que cuidarme. Los síntomas se estaban haciendo ver con más intensidad, pues tenía muchos vómitos, acidez, nauseas y para colmo me descubren una infección urinaria asintomática en la que deciden ingresarme en el hogar materno, las condiciones no eran las propicias para mi y decidí irme a mi casa bajo mi propia responsabilidad. Soy muy exigente con la comida y pues la que me daban no me gustaba para nada.
After this trip, came the most awaited news and it was the
confirmation of my pregnancy, but that did not limit me to fly back to my other land, to my beautiful and beloved Mexico, where luckily I had a perfect trip without any symptoms of pregnancy, which changed completely when I arrived in Cuba.
I had to wait a few weeks to confirm by ultrasound (US) that the test had no error, and there is my first US where the embryo was already growing.
After this news, my life took a calmer course, because I had to take care of myself. The symptoms were becoming more intense, because I had a lot of vomiting, heartburn, nausea and to top it off they discovered an asymptomatic urinary infection in which they decided to admit me to my mother's home, the conditions were not suitable for me and I decided to go home on my own responsibility.I am very picky about food and the food they gave me I did not like at all.
Corrían los meses y no salíamos de un análisis en otro, consultas y revisiones para asegurarnos que mi bebé estuviera bien, ella estaba perfecta, pero yo estaba con anemia no salía de una cosa para entrar en otra. Mientras estuve pendiente de cómo mi barriga iba creciendo aquí les muestro fotos de todo el avance.
Y llego el día en que iba a conocer el sexo de mi bebé, que día más emocionante, ya que el sueño de toda mi vida y el instinto que tenía, se estaba cumpliendo por completo: ES NIÑA.
The months went by and we were going from one test to another, consultations and check-ups to make sure my baby was fine, she was perfect, but I was anemic, I was not getting out of one thing to get into another. While I was watching how my belly was growing here I show you pictures of all the progress.
And the day came when I was going to know the sex of my baby, what an exciting day, since the dream of my whole life and the instinct that I had, was being fulfilled completely: IT'S A GIRL.
Ese año nunca fui a la playa pues por mis antecedentes de infecciones urinarias no era recomendable aún así a finales de agosto me vienen con la noticia que mi urocultivo estaba nuevamente positivo y tocaba ingresarme de nuevo en el hospital a ponerme antibióticos en vena. Ya ahora solo tocaba esperar, @manuphotos se me fue para México para el HiveFest y yo con miedo que no se me presentara el parto, pues las infecciones podían provocarme un parto prematuro y además tenía mi placenta ya madura y la niña se encontraba en la posición perfecta para salir. Luego por el trabajo se le presenta un viaje a China y justo coincidía con mi cumpleaños y con la fecha probable de dar a luz y el 14 de noviembre sin @manuphotos en Cuba nace nuestra pequeña, de mi experiencia pues esta en otro post dejo por aquí el enlace por si quieren leerlo.

That year I never went to the beach because of my history of urinary tract infections it was not advisable even so at the end of August I got the news that my urine culture was positive again and I had to go back to the hospital to get antibiotics in my vein. Now I just had to wait, @manuphotos went to Mexico for the HiveFest and I was afraid that I would not give birth, because the infections could cause premature labor and also I had my placenta already matured and the baby was in the perfect position to come out. Then because of work I had a trip to China and just coincided with my birthday and with the probable date of giving birth and on November 14 without @manuphotos in Cuba our little girl was born, my experience is in another post I leave the link here if you want to read it.

Mi 2023 fue un año de muchos cambios tanto emocionales como hormonales pero fue el mejor año de mi vida. Tener mi bebe era mi gran deseo y uno de los propósitos que puse cuando terminé el 2022, así que OBJETIVO CUMPLIDO.
My 2023 was a year of many changes both emotionally and hormonally but it was the best year of my life. Having my baby was my big wish and one of the resolutions I set when I finished 2022, so GOAL ACHIEVED.
Mis propósitos para este nuevo año
En otro momento te diría que quiero muchos viajes, dinero, pero en este solo pido SALUD, mucha salud para mi niña. Va a ser un año igual de apasionante que el anterior pues en el 2024, Alana cumplirá su primer añito, dirá sus primeras palabras y quien sabe si sus primeros pasos, por tanto es un año que sé, aún sin terminar que será emocionante.
Tengo como propósito crecer en lo personal, como mamá y como mujer. Cada obstáculo que se me interponga, lo superare y seguiré adelante.Que la vida es bella y la voy a disfrutar al máximo con mis grandes amores.
My resolutions for this new year
In another moment I would tell you that I want a lot of trips, money, but in this one I only ask for HEALTH, a lot of health for my little girl. It is going to be a year as exciting as the previous one because in 2024, Alana will be one year old, she will say her first words and who knows if she will take her first steps, so it is a year that I know, still unfinished, will be exciting.
My purpose is to grow personally, as a mother and as a woman. Every obstacle that comes my way, I will overcome it and move forward, life is beautiful and I will enjoy it to the fullest with my great loves.
