Hace unos días publiqué como había sido mi experiencia volando por primera vez. Bueno hoy quiero contarles la otra parte de esa experiencia que es como fue mi estancia en Angola algunos lugares que visité y cosas que hice.
Bueno primeramente les voy a contar que ya desde el aeropuerto se veía que no estaba en Cuba. Ese aeropuerto creo que es lo que menos podría destacar, porque era casi que un pasillo en comparación al aeropuerto de aqui , te bajas del avión y es una linea recta hasta que sales a la calle , literalmente no tienes opción de perderte ahi adentro, incluso escuché a una de las personas que iba en el vuelo decir "esto parece una terminal de ómnibus" 😂 aunque todo la verda estaba muy bien arreglado , solo que era algo diferente.
Bueno una vez ya en la calle puedo decir que sin duda no era para nada lo qie me esperaba, osea a cualquiera que le hablan de África pues se piensa que es selva , leones , gente viviendo en chozas y tal , aunque no sé si solo me pasaba a mi , pero bueno la realidad fue impactante, habían un montón de edificios bastante altos y muy bien presentados se podría decir , infinidad de carros en la calle ,literal eso es otra cosa que también llama muchísimo la atención, y vaya un nivel de desarrollo que se puede ver que sin duda a pesar de ser áfrica la comparación con Cuba es bastante grande.
A few days ago I published how was my experience flying for the first time. Well today I want to tell you the other part of that experience which is how was my stay in Angola, some places I visited and things I did.
Well first of all I am going to tell you that already from the airport you could see that I was not in Cuba. That airport I think is what I could highlight the least, because it was almost a corridor compared to the airport here, you get off the plane and it is a straight line until you get out to the street, literally you have no option to get lost in there, I even heard one of the people who was on the flight say "this looks like a bus terminal" 😂 although everything the truth was very well arranged, it was just something different.
Well once on the street I can say that it was certainly not at all what I expected, I mean anyone who talks about Africa thinks it is jungle, lions, people living in huts and so on, although I do not know if it was just me, but the reality was shocking, There were a lot of buildings quite high and very well presented one could say, lots of cars on the street, literally that's another thing that also draws a lot of attention, and what a level of development that can be seen that certainly despite being Africa the comparison with Cuba is quite large.
Cuando nos montamos en el carro para ir hacia donde me iba a quedar sinceramente fue una odisea, el trafico a las 11 y pico casi 12 del día era increíble. Seguramente el que ha manejado en Cuba pues podra decir que alfuna que otra vez ha tendido que esperar en un semáforo o le ha cogido un poquito de tráfico pero nada que ver con lo de Angola, primeramente la canridad de carros que hay es enorme, yo diría que en ningun momento del día se puede ver una calle vacía y no solo los carros de las personas sino también el transporte público que es exagerado, bueno les diría que donde hay semáforos ( no todas las calles tienen) se formaban filas de hasta 1 o 2 kilometeos sin exagerar y solo desde donde estaba el ultimo carro hasta llegar al mismo semáforo te podías demorar unos 20 minutos . Además de eso la dificultad de manejar es grande poruqe no solo que hay muchos carros sino tambien que hay pocas señales , la mayoría de las calles es un salvese quien pueda el que primero llegue es el que pasa y si te duermes te chocan , bueno de hcecho la mayoria de los carros que veía en la calle tenia alguna que otra aboyadura en algun lado del costado o del frente y como dice mia papá el que maneje ahi maneja en cualquier parte del mundo.
Pero bueno cuando llegamos a donde me iba a quedar que era un edificio super lindo y super alto casi que un hotel podría decir me fijé por la ventana que enfrente habia otro edificio que se veía un poco más de menos categoría por así decirlo y a pesar de eso me llama la atención la cantidad de aires acondicionados que habian puestos, yo fui en temporada de invierno no había frio pero quiza la temperatura no era precisamente calurosa como pudiera haber sido en otro momento, asi que sin duda en verano tiene que haber muchisimo calor ahi.
When we got in the car to go to where I was going to stay it was honestly an odyssey, the traffic at 11 o'clock almost 12 o'clock was unbelievable. Surely those who have driven in Cuba can say that once or twice they have had to wait at a traffic light or have been caught in a little bit of traffic but nothing to do with Angola, first of all the number of cars there is huge, I would say that at no time of the day you can see an empty street and not only the cars of the people but also the public transport that is exaggerated, well I would say that where there are traffic lights (not all streets have them) there were lines of up to 1 or 2 kilometeos without exaggerating and only from where the last car was to reach the same traffic light you could take about 20 minutes. Besides that the difficulty of driving is great because not only that there are many cars but also that there are few signs, most of the streets is a salvese quien pueda whoever gets there first is the one who passes and if you fall asleep you get hit, well in fact most of the cars I saw on the street had some dent somewhere on the side or front and as my dad says whoever drove there drives anywhere in the world.
But well when we got to where I was going to stay which was a super nice and super high building almost like a hotel I could say I noticed through the window that in front there was another building that looked a little more of less category so to speak and despite that I was struck by the amount of air conditioners that were in place, I went in winter season was not cold but perhaps the temperature was not exactly hot as it could have been at another time, so no doubt in summer there must have been a lot of heat there.
El primer día la verda que casi me lo pasé durmiendo porque el viaje es super largo y el cambio de hora también te deshorienta bastante , pero bueno al otro día si ya comencé a conocer un poco de la ciudad. Donde primero dije que quería ir era a un centro comercial bueno ya eso si te vuela la cabeza,el más grande y bonito que fui se llamaba "La Fortaleza" yo diría que es como un estadio de pelota con 3 pisos y cerrado incluso podria ser que más grande , y afuera habian una especie de pantallas que mostraban anuncios de cosas y lugares que habían dentro del propio centro comercial, bueno la verda que de película eso. Cuando entras lo primero que te llama la atención es el olor a aromatizante tan característico que tiene quizá los cubanos sepan del conocido " olorcito a yuma" que para ser tan grande el lugar el olor era basate fuerte . Bueno otra cosa que llama la atención es que yo pensaría que desde que entras al lugar tendrías las diferentes cosas que vas a comprar puestas en estantes o no se sería una tienda pero grande , pero para nada , es casi que una ciudad ,por todo el lugar hay especies de mini tiendas y mini negocios por asi decirlo en los cuales enreas y ahi es dónde comoras , es como el puesto de adedidas el puesto de nike, que si tienda de juguetes ,que si tienda de caramelos , cine además, restaurantes y puestos de comida rápida, bueno casi que podías vivir ahi adentro 😂.
Después de dar un par de vueltas por ahi adentro ya empieza a entrar el hambre y pues fuimos a uno de esos puestos de comida llamado "Pizza Hut" bastante conocido a nivel mundial por hacer unas muy buenas pizzas , la verda yo no había probado una pizza tan rica, podías pedirla del tamaño que quisieras y hecharle lo que quisieras arriba seleccionando de un menú super extenso de cosas que tienen ahi , o también podías pedirlas que si hawaianas o rancheras o custro quesos ,etc. Bueno eso fue de los lugares más visitados de mi viaje😂.
The first day the truth is that I almost spent it sleeping because the trip is super long and the time change also discourages you a lot, but well the next day if I started to know a little of the city. Where I first said I wanted to go was to a shopping mall, well that blows your mind, the biggest and most beautiful I went was called "La Fortaleza" I would say it was like a ball stadium with 3 floors and closed, maybe even bigger, and outside there were some kind of screens that showed ads of things and places that were inside the mall itself, well the truth is that it was a movie. When you enter the first thing that strikes you is the smell of aromatizer so characteristic that has perhaps the Cubans know the known "olorcito a yuma" that to be so big the place the smell was strong basate. Well another thing that is striking is that I would think that since you enter the place you would have the different things you are going to buy put in eatantes or I do not know would be a store but big, but not at all, it's almost like a city,all over the place there are kind of mini stores and mini businesses so to speak in which enreas and that's where you eat, is like the adedidas stand the nike stand, that if toy store, that if candy store, cinema also, restaurants and fast food stalls, well almost you could live in there 😂.
After walking around a couple of times in there, we started to get hungry and so we went to one of those food stands called "Pizza Hut" well known worldwide for making really good pizzas, I had never tasted a pizza so good, you could order it the size you wanted and add whatever you wanted on top selecting from a super extensive menu of things they have there, or you could also order Hawaiian or ranch or custro cheeses, etc.. Well that was one of the most visited places of my trip😂.
No se si habrá alguien que le guste el anime y las cosas de Japón pero también me sorprendió que en la tienda habían figuras de acción de esto que normalmente nama las había visto de videos de youtubers y bueno ver que en una tienda de una ciudad las vendieran así casualmente pues fue algo que me llamó la atención.
I don't know if there is anyone who likes anime and things from Japan but I was also surprised that in the store there were action figures of this that normally I had seen them in videos of youtubers and to see that in a store in a city they were selling them casually was something that caught my attention.
Bueno la verda que además de ver Netflix en aire acondicionado que es algo que normalmente en Cuba no puede hacer la mayoria de la gente otra de las cosas que hice mas frecuente fue ir a ese lugar , ya que fácilmentetenías todo para hechar el día ahi , comida y entetenimiento y además tenía una muy buena vista de la ciudad y la bahia de luanda.
Well the truth is that besides watching Netflix in air conditioning which is something that normally in Cuba can not do most people another of the things I did more often was to go to that place, since you easily had everything to make the day there, food and entertainment and also had a very good view of the city and the bay of Luanda.
Otro de los planes que era muy frecuente realizar era el de ir a un sitio llamado "Local" que es un especie de cayo que qieda muy cerca de la ciudad en la que hay ademas muchísimos negocios referentes a lo que es la playa y el mar, como marisquerias y puestecitos de bares playeros. Bueno en local lo que había ers una piscina pero al estilo de Estados Unidos podria decir , la mayoría de las personas que habian allí eran extranjeros , quizá porque era un poco caro comparado sl estilo de vida que llevan los angolanos pero sin duda el lugar estaba muy lindo y agradable, la piscina era de agua salada y podías bajar una escalerita que te llevaba directo a una mini playita que estaba justo debajo. De los mejores lugares para visitar de luanda sin duda.

One of the best places to visit in Luanda without a doubt.
También conocí un amigo de mi padre que vivia en un condominio, es como un lugar en la ciudad pero que está apartado y tiene un perímetro cerrado en el cuál solo puede entrar la gente que vive ahi ,casi que una mini ciudad para 2 o 3 edificios residenciales que hay ahi . Vaya yo me sentía millonario ahí adentro porque eso parece un mundo aparte la tranquilidad que hay ahi adentro y la belleza es otro nivel más aún . Fuimos a la piscina del condominio que estaba vacia ya que al parecer las personas que viven ahi no suelen bañarse en ella muy a menudo según me estaban comentando , pefo bueno eso no fue lo mejor del lugar ya que abajo tenían una especie de bulevard que deba justo con el agua en el cual tenia una vista perfecta de la ciudad y de los edificios, sin duda me quedé maravillado y envidiado de las personas que vivían allí que cada día se despiertan con esas increibles vistas. Bueno yo la verda me bañe pco en esa piscina ya que decidí irme a explorar por ahi el lugar y a caminar la extensa zona del condominio que fuera no había podido hacer ya que es un poco más peligroso andar solo por la calle casi siempre era en catto psrs rodos lados. Sin duda de los lugares más bonitos que visite en mi estancia en Angola.
I also knew a friend of my father's who lived in a condominium, it is like a place in the city but it is secluded and has a closed perimeter in which only the people who live there can enter, almost like a mini city for 2 or 3 residential buildings there. I felt like a millionaire in there because it seems like a world away from the tranquility and the beauty is another level even more. We went to the pool of the condominium which was empty because apparently the people who live there do not usually bathe in it very often according to what they were telling me, but well that was not the best of the place because below they had a kind of boulevard that had a perfect view of the city and the buildings, no doubt I was amazed and envious of the people who lived there that every day they wake up with those incredible views. Well, I actually bathed a little in that pool since I decided to go explore the place and walk around the extensive area of the condominium that outside I had not been able to do since it is a little more dangerous to walk alone on the street almost always was in catto psrs rodos lados. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places I visited during my stay in Angola.
Otro de mis lugares más frecuentados fue el hotel "flamingo " que es un pequeño hotel en el cual en la parte de abajo había una especie como de bar-discoteca que ponían música cubana y se reunian muchos cubanos que están en la ciudad, a pasar unas noches muy divertidas al ritmo de la música que más conocen que es la cubana. Además de que también vendían muy buena comida cubana como arroz congris y cerdo asado que hasta que empecé a ir al lugar no había comido desde que estaba en Angola. Y justo al lado por el día habia una heladería que era el cielo en la tierra con millones de sabores pars escoger y gran variedad de dulces que se te hacían la boca agua, este también fue uno de los lugares mas frecuentados sin duda 😂, la verda que me atrevería a decir que de todas las veces que fui no repetí ni un sabor de helado.
Another of my most frequented places was the hotel "flamingo" which is a small hotel in which in the lower part there was a kind of bar-discotheque that played Cuban music and many Cubans who are in the city gathered to spend some fun nights to the rhythm of the music they know best, which is Cuban. Bueno para ya ir finalizando quería decirles que sin duda Luanda es una ciudad muy bonita pero como todo no es siempre bonito, había un lugar de la ciudad llamado " sao paolo" que es un lugar donde se venden cosas muy baratas y por cantidades , es una especie de bazar al que acude diría el 90 porciento de las personas que viven ahi , porque la mayoría no tienen mucho poder adquisitivo o casi ninguno y si se ve bastante marcada las clases sociales ya que puedes ver a alguien por el medio de la calle con traje y corbata y ver justo al lado a unos cuantos indigentes durmiendo sobre cartones, pero bueno ir a ese lugar no fue una tarea nada fácil , ya que al ser un lugar para rodo el mundo la delincuencia y el desorden era increible tanto así que habían policías con ametralladoras y forrados de negro custodiando y aún así me dijeron que se foemaban muchos problemas , incluso no pude fotografias ya que sacar el celular podría ser un peligro y más para alguien que se ve como un extranjero , aunque bueno no pasó nada y de hecho pudimos relizar algunas compras de las cuales muchas fueron para traer a Cuba ya que aqui no se consiguen.
Sin duda fue una estancia muy memorable cuando viré a Cuba tenía hasta 4 kilos demás por todo lo que había comido😂, sin duda me encantó la ciudad y los lugares y la gente que también son muy hospitalarias al igual que en Cuba , yo diría que me pasaría fácilmente dos meses más , aunque no me quedaría a vivir porque al final simeore te sientes extranjero , pero sin duda volvería a ir.
