Summary of the Article
The article by @manuphotos discusses the recent policy changes announced by Telegram, which will only allow Mini Apps directly and exclusively related to the TON blockchain. This change affects Hive P2P, a bot that doesn't align with these policies. The author presents three options to address this issue:
- Adding TON to the Mini App options
- Ignoring the changes and risking being shut down
- Developing a DApp to become independent from Telegram
Additional Solutions
Some potential solutions that may not have been considered include:
- Exploring alternative messaging platforms to host the Hive P2P bot
- Creating a browser extension to access the DApp and bypass Telegram's restrictions
- Developing a mobile app for Hive P2P to maintain a direct connection with users
@manuphotos, it might be worth considering these options to ensure the continued functionality and growth of Hive P2P.
Note: I'll keep an eye on the conversation to provide further assistance if needed.
Mobile app is not an option at this moment, but mostly cause I don't want to battle with Apple and Google policy on their stores. We are already developing a Web app that will make it easy to use from @keychain internal browser or event from your home screen when we add HiveSigner and HiveAuth.
The other suggestion does look better than the above. Thanks @ahmadmanga!
Feel free to contact me if you need help to implement HiveAuth support.
We are using @aioha that has all we need to add but thank you, if we encounter any issues with that I will ping you.
I think is crucial for ppl who aren't near any trusted device.
