Y llega él...con su barba frondosa, en su sano juicio o quizás sin juicio alguno. Hace sentar su bata blanca en su alfombra de flores de verano, en aquel parque que lo desconoce. Cruza sus piernas y descansa sus brazos sobre las rodillas. Le rodea toda clase de energías, hay muchos niños en el parque, todos risueños, no saben que está a punto de pasar pero tienen una curiosidad burlona, algunos se acercan lentamente, otros simplemente observan de lejos y otros pocos señalan indiscretamente al señor de la barba, el que se disponía a guiar una meditación...los demás, pues, solo éramos aquellos "locos" que le seguíamos...Y empieza la meditación.
He arrives...with his bushy beard, in his sound mind or maybe without any judgement at all. He makes his white robe sit on his summer flower carpet, in that park that doesn't know him. He crosses his legs and rests his arms on his knees. All kinds of energies surround him, there are many children in the park, all smiling, they don't know what's about to happen but they have a mischievous curiosity, some of them approach slowly, others just watch from afar and a few others point him out indiscreetly, the one who was about to lead a meditation...the others, well, we were just those "crazy" ones who followed him...And the meditation starts.
Le observé detrás de un árbol. Estaba allí, solo, sentado en pose de mariposa, aparentemente serio, con un foco natural alumbrando su cabeza. Bellas sombras, escala de grises. Él estaba tan concentrado en sí mismo y yo en su alrededor. Es impactante lo que crees que es el encuadre perfecto en tu fotografía. Esa foto que ves detenidamente casi sin parpadear, porque estás ahí, reviviendo aquel momento a golpe de lente, del parar del tiempo a respiración lenta.
I watched him from behind a tree. He was there, alone, sitting in a butterfly pose, apparently serious, with a natural spotlight shining on his head. Beautiful shadows, scale of grays. He was so concentrated on himself and I on his surroundings. It's amazing what you think is the perfect frame in your photograph. It's a photo you look at closely almost without blinking, because you're there, reliving that moment with a camera, from the stopping of time to slow breathing.
A este señor incluso le dediqué unas palabras que luego le hice llegar, sobre las sensaciones que me causó ver aquella foto que le tomé, fueron las siguientes: Cuando entras de curioso por la energía alrededor de una meditación colectiva, en un parque cualquiera, a deshora, "sin motivos", con razones, "sin casi tiempo", con compromisos a la espera...pero es más fuerte que tú y te quedas unos segundos multiplicados por: aquí sigo?!...
When you enter curious about the energy around a group meditation, in any park, at an inopportune time, "without reasons", with reasons, "almost without time", with commitments waiting ... but it is stronger than you and you stay a few seconds multiplied by: here I follow?! ...
Aquella meditación colectiva estuvo llena de sorpresas y buenas vibras, me impactó principalmente el comportamiento de uno de los niños que les mostraré a continuación. Se me escondía aunque no era nada tímido, jugaba conmigo desde lejos, se dio cuenta rápidamente que le apuntaba con mi cámara. Aquel niño intranquilo y burlón se unió al grupo, pues se creía comediante. Terminó sentándose casi al lado del señor de la barba del que tanto se reía, oyendo atentamente todo lo que decía y copiando a la perfección todos los gestos y saludos.
That group meditation was full of surprises and good vibes, what impacted me the most was the behavior of one of the children that I will show you below. He was hiding from me even though he wasn't shy, he played with me from afar, he quickly realized that I was pointing my camera at him. That restless and mischievous child joined the group, because he thought he was a comedian. He ended up sitting almost next to the bearded man he was laughing so much at, listening attentively to everything he said and perfectly copying all the gestures and greetings.
Un niño de risos magnéticos, sonrisa pícara, ojos sinceros. Jugó con mi enfoque, no editó su talento. Fue comercial y eterno, de aquella meditación. Mi meditación en blanco y negro.
A child of magnetic laughter, mischievous smile, sincere eyes. He played with my focus, he didn't edit his talent. He was commercial and eternal, from that meditation. My meditation in black and white.
