El Palacio Central de la Computación y Electrónica de Cuba
En 1986 comienzan a fundarse instituciones conocidas como Joven Club de Computación y Electrónica. Estos centros se llevaron a todos los municipios del país y su objetivo esencial fue masificar el desarrollo de la Informática en todo el país. Esta no fue una acción de moda, sino, estuvo a tono con el desarrollo de esta ciencia y su importancia en desarrollo socioeconómico del país.
Se puede decir que estos sitios son los responsables directos de parte del desarrollo que tiene el país en el desarrollo e informatización de la sociedad cubana.
En cuanto al Palacio Central de Computación, este fue fundado el 8 de marzo de 1991. Como su nombre lo indica, es un palacio en el que los reyes son todos sus habitantes y las mayores riquezas que cultivan son el conocimiento y las habilidades que adquieren en estas importantes ramas de la ciencia y el saber.
Muchos de los profesionales de nuestro país, entre los que se cuenta quien escribe, aprendieron o dieron sus primeros pasos en este tipo de centros.
Cuando entras al palacio puedes entender el porqué del nombre de la institución y su predominante color azul está en sintonía con el color que identifica a la Habana, lugar donde se encuentra.
Otro elemento que notas en el centro es la gran cantidad de diplomas y reconocimientos atesorados por sus trabajadores a lo largo de estos 33 años de cumpleaños, lo que demuestra la calidad de los servicios que brindan.
De igual manera podrás ver numerosos equipos, videojuegos, robots, equipos de electrónicas y otros más que hacen las delicias de muchos niños porque, además de ser un centro de instrucción, también es un centro de recreación que, sobre todo, en la etapa de verano es muy visitado por la población infantil y juvenil.
El pretexto de la visita
Como parte de nuestro trabajo en el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología, Servicio Geológico de Cuba, fuimos convocados a este centro, para participar en la conformación del observatorio nacional del Ministerio de Energía y Minas. Esto es un elemento que está en sintonía con los tres pilares del país: Comunicación Social, Transformación Digital y Gestión de la Ciencia en función del desarrollo socioeconómico.
En este encuentro participaron compañeros de todos los centros de investigación de nuestro ministerio, quienes coincidimos en lo importante, sugerente y necesario que resulta para la divulgación del conocimiento científico la creación de este observatorio científico. Pero, también admiramos y valoramos de extraordinario la calidad de este centro que es referencia nacional, para el desarrollo de la educación informática.
Un comentario final
Una de las cosas que más felicidad me proporciona es disfrutar aprendiendo, eso me da una sensación de placer y alegría que muchas veces resulta imposible de narrar con palabras. Así me sentí en estos dos días de estancia en este palacio.
