Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

The Story Of Two Lost Nuts!

So the jizz is up! We know who the perpetrators were!

Indeed we do it was these two nuts!

A few months ago we got this car booked in from a dealer and we only now got the go ahead to finish the car. Of course we proceeded and built the transmission then fitted it, but once we started the vehicle up those two little nuts decided to wake up.

Now to be very fair in this situation the guy who assembled the car had no fault in this, the guy who removed the transmission on the other hand very well did. However he no longer works for us.

They Woke Up Good!

They really did! They also did a lot of damage to the transmission but with that said this entire situation good have been so much worse. We came off real lightly with this one. It did break the transmission casing with a good and solid knock.

Fortunately for us we are the transmission techies so we quickly removed the transmission, tore it down and sent it in for repairs.

It's not that bad at all but it's very clear that the two nuts really did some chipping as they went around and around in the bellhousing.

We have a couple of flex plates lying around so we will be swapping out this one with a different one, not sure if this thing will do the job properly enough anymore. might be warped or some shit!

The Pesty Work Done Again!

Well I wont exactly say it is pesty but it does get pesty real fast when you have to do the same job over and over again!
Then there is no fun in it! Whelp this was our fault so we have to fix it up real good right!

No worries!!

We are still far from being out of the woods! Heck we might have just entered the woods at this point!

So I've got the bellhousing removed here and that was the easy part, I feel for the guy that had to remove the transmission again!

We can't just send this in just like this! No no we have to be removing everything out other wise the bolt on parts might get damaged! That we don't want when we've already wet the bed here hey!

All things considered these are not at all hard to remove so I can't complain much can I!

A Nice good old crack!

At-least now we know why it started leaking oil hey!

Also this is luck! This is a very clean break it could have been much much worse! So bad that we could have bought a new engine as well!

Fortunate for us we got it welded up and back together and she is driving like fine now!
