When you look at the past reading the world history you realize that although a lot of time passed things keep more like the same.
that is what I am doing lately - reading books, listening to a lot of video lections on ancient war history. thinking that world never changes.

That is an interesting thing to do, It gives a more global (along time) perspective of humans, then you suddenly start understanding how we've arrived here...
