After the last post, the Samuel Risley returned upbound on a new escort mission.
This would prove to be a group of four heading upbound towards Sarnia, Ontario.
First, we had Samuel Risley, the Canadian Coast Guard ship that's been doing icebreaking and escort duty along the St. Clair River.
This icebreaker was followed by Algoma Corporation's tanker, Algosea, whom we saw a few days ago when she was downbound on Valentine's Day.
She's on her way to Sarnia to refill. So is the next ship - which I've only seen once before and didn't capture any pictures until now... Leo A McArthur with her barge John J Carrick. She is operated by McAsphalt Marine Transportation (isn't that an excellent name?!)
Finally, we had USCGC Katmai Bay (101) bringing up the rear of this little parade.
Samuel Risley's downbound trip earlier took 3.5 hours.
The upbound trip took about 4 hours.
Here they are in Algonac, Michigan.

It was completely dark by the time they reached Marine City. Surprisingly, with the snow and lights, the camera still caught several really good shots as Samuel Risley slowed and let Algosea overtake her...
Then, Samuel Risley turned back downbound to be of further assistance to McArthur so Katmai Bay can return to Algonac for the night.
Sarnia
Algosea finally made it to Sarnia, Ontario, around 21:10 (9:10 p.m.) - very bright as she docked...
Leo A McArthur also made it to Sarnia, but didn't show up on BoatNerd's camera as she only went as far as Suncor Energy's terminal at the southern edge of Sarnia.

The sharing of the pictures/cameras is encouraged for the education and enjoyment of all. Please take a look at these cameras on YouTube.
Note: Boatnerd also hosts shipping news, huge amounts of data about almost any "laker" and even many of the "saltie" visitors - and even a book called "Know Your Ships". I would encourage supporting his great work, especially as he has plans to add more cameras in 2021.
