A paper wasp can be seen guarding its nest. Typically, paper wasps live in the nest inhabited by dozens or more. Perhaps, the nest is still under construction.

Seekor tawon kertas terlihat sedang menjaga sarangnya. Biasanya, tawon kertas hidup berkoloni dalam sebuah sarang yang dihuni oleh puluhan, bisa juga lebih. Mungkin, sarang tersebut masih dalam proses pengerjaan.
The Asian paper wasp, or insect with the scientific name Polistes chinensis antennalis, has brown and yellow body characteristics. Paper wasps take fibers from dead wood or tree trunks mixed with their saliva to construct their nests. The nest is similar to egg cartons but tend to be water-resistant.
Tawon kertas Asia atau serangga yang memiliki nama ilmiah Polistes chinensis antennalis, memiliki ciri-ciri tubuh berwarna coklat dan kuning. Tawon kertas mengambil serat dari kayu mati atau batang pohon yang dicampur dengan air liurnya untuk membangun sarang mereka. Sarang itu mirip seperti kardus telur, tetapi cendrung anti air.
In addition, paper wasps protect their nests with some kind of chemical liquid (as bees protect their hive with a chemical called propolis) which is spread around the base of the anchor to prevent the loss of eggs or brood by other predators .
Selain itu, tawon kertas melindungi sarang mereka dengan semacam cairan kimia (Seperti halnya lebah yang melindungi sarang mereka dengan cairan kimia atau yang biasa disebut propolis) yang disebar disekitar pangkal jangkar untuk mencegah hilangnya telur-telur atau induk mereka oleh pemangsa lain .
