I saw the gray wall jumper (Menemerus bivittatus) moving down the wall. It seemed it was sniffing prey. It continues to move until it reaches the ground, sometimes it stops glancing left and right, then slowly crawled forward again.
Not far ahead of it, a small fly landed on the ground unaware that danger was lurking. Slowly the predator approaches the potential prey, and what happens?
Huup! Quickly, the predator grabs its prey and paralyzes it with its sharp jaws. A meticulous attempt by the predator, which is none other than the gray wall jumper.
Then it takes its prey to a place that is somewhat closed in between the gaps in the mound, and so on, devours the prey until it is not leftover.
I captured this amazing moment in many pictures as my contribution to the #fascinatingInsects community.
