The presence of butterflies around you certainly has a specific purpose

Hi Hiveans ... Meeting me again, in this very simple blog

The Putrie butterfly or Acraea terpsicore is one of the butterflies that we often encounter in our area, to find it is very easy, you just go to a place that has shrubs or has the potential for wild plants that grow chaotically so that's where they are found.

Acraea terpsicore or Kupu-kupu Putrie

In my daily life, very happy to see him fly and play on one of the shrubs or shrubs that grow wild on any vacant land overgrown with weeds or locations that are often abandoned by their owners.

I myself often find it small, different from other butterflies, and this one is one of the adult types, if you pay attention to it, it has a small size or around 53-64 millimeters or less.

Or generally his body size has a size of about 2.1-2.6 inches, and personally haven't found it bigger than this one.

When compared to other ordinary butterflies such as an ordinary plain tiger or several types that are often with him, he is one of the species whose flight size is very weak, and this is where the difference from the others is, of course, in terms of character. Why? Although it has a weak flier, it is often avoided by other insect predators.

God created a creature with advantages and disadvantages, for example like this butterfly, even though he is weak in running when he sees something that makes him lose, but insect hunters are reluctant to attend, why? Of course this has its own advantages.

Because, according to the insect's predatory instincts, this butterfly has poison that can make predators have a bad impact on its digestion, of course there are some poisons that it doesn't like, tucked away in its leathery wings.

While the brightly colored butterfly like this butterfly certainly has some toxins that can have a negative impact on predatory insects if they force themselves to eat the butterfly's body. It has also been revealed by insect researchers that every brightly colored and leathery butterfly has substances that are not good for insect hunters to consume.

What is meant by poison is that when in a larval position (caterpillars) often eat the leaves of plants that have poison in certain nests, if in our area these butterflies often eat the nutrients of forest betel plants when they become caterpillars (larvae) or other plants in the area, forests, and shrubs, with potentially toxic leaves.

Experts say and based on their findings say that, forest betel plant has a nephrotoxic aristolochic acid compound, which causes interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy. The content in the caterpillar's body (larvae) comes from the forest betel leaf when it eats the leaves, as a further development process until it becomes or reaches the butterfly phase. In the end, when it becomes a butterfly, the contents mentioned above remain in its body.

While in our own area, forest betel plants often grow in a habitat or in locations that have been abandoned by their owners, the forest betel thrives and the rulers are butterfly larvae and several other insect species.

Here I just understand why the insect predator does not want to touch the body of this butterfly, of course every insect predator knows by instinct that the butterfly's body contains poison that they get from their food when they become larvae.

Today, I met him again at a place he rarely visits, namely the beach, rarely see him here, but of course their presence here has a reason, because in general they are often in the bushes or in locations that have wild plants with the above conditions.

Nice to see it from a very close direction. The story is, when I was on the beach with a strong wind, I could see a yellow butterfly flying from afar, in a very weak condition.

He continued to fly, and stopped at a piece of wood as an object for me to relax on, namely a bench support, when saw that, then approached him. Then give (point out) the index finger with the intention to reach it.

With a body that looks very tired, due to the long flight, after all he flew through the strong wind and his body was carried in a direction that was not intended, namely on the beach, maybe his destination was not here but in another direction

While pointing my index finger, he stood casually without feeling any alertness, then instantly, took out his personal smartphone to take some pictures of him in a state.

This means in a relaxed state while releasing the fatigue caused by a long flight. Seeing her like that, I meant to place her small body in the location she meant as a green plant.

I had a few minutes to take a few poses from standing in order to get some good shots, but got a little overwhelmed as moved side by side, so didn't get some shots with different angles.

Even though I had a good chance, I still couldn't take several different photos (different angles of view) because when the index finger moves, then this butterfly also moves, afraid it will fly in another direction, so forced to take photos at an angle certain, although don't have a different point of view.

It feels really satisfying to be able to see it from a very close direction, and be free to photograph it even with a little time.

This butterfly, before flying, he had time to relax on my index finger, with a comfortable feeling without having to show a wary attitude, or maybe he didn't see me as an opponent to be avoided, but the one whose name was the animal would still move to the location he was aiming for, so that in finally, with the sound of the waves crashing and the cry of the wind he flew away and the butterfly went away from me.

I hope this post makes you entertained and fun for you and myself, thank you for reading and visiting my blog.
