La mantis religiosa debe su nombre a la postura adoptada por sus dos patas delanteras que simulan una posición de oración. En particular, la considero elegante.
The praying mantis owes its name to the posture adopted by its two front legs which simulate a prayer position. In particular, I consider it elegant.
Es también conocida por su forma de devorara a los insectos. Su gran apetito la hace ser agresiva pero esto forma parte de su naturaleza.
It's also known for its way of devouring insects. Her great appetite makes her aggressive but this is part of her nature.
Dentro de los beneficios de la mantis religiosa se menciona la contribución a los agricultores. Estando presente entre los cultivos, no habrá ninguna plaga que acabe con ella, la mantis, será la responsable de devorar a cada uno de ellos primero.
