Butterflies are flying gems of nature. Sometimes everyone wants to take pictures of them. It's more civilized fun than catching and pinning them.
But how to start? Best with a large day butterfly. One of the most suitable is Silver-washed Fritillary (Argynnis paphia). You can usually find the butterfly in sunny clearings. It is a very fast and agile flier. But if it finds flowers rich in nectar, it is very willing photo model. And then you have plenty of time to find the best angle and composition.
You can also take photos with your smartphone, but of course you can achieve a better result with a camera with a quality lens. Use manual mode. Choose a low aperture value. Adjust the shutter speed as needed. The butterfly stands out better on a blurred background.
Motýli jsou létající drahokamy přírody. Fotografovat je občas zatouží každý. Je to civilizovanější zábava, než je chytat a napichovat na špendlíky.
Jak ale začít? Nejlépe s velkým denním druhem. Jedním z nejvhodnějších je Perleťovec stříbropásek (Argynnis paphia). Motýla najdete většinou na slunečných pasekách. Je velmi rychlý a obratný letec. Pokud ale najde květiny bohaté na nektar, změní se na ochotný fotomodel. A vy pak máte pak spoustu času na nalezení nejlepšího úhlu a kompozice.
Fotit jde i mobilem, ale lepšího výsledku samozřejmě docílíte fotoaparátem s kvalitním objektivem. Používejte manuální režim. Volte nízké clonové číslo. Čas uzávěrky nastavte podle potřeby. Na rozostřeném pozadí motýl lépe vynikne.

That's a really nice shot. You could have taken the shot from different angle to make your post richer. Kudos nevertheless.

Jo, já je fotím taky dvoustovkou objektivem. Pěkně je to přiblíží, ale nevyplaší.
Ani jsem to nemusel moc upravovat 🙂. Na motýla svítilo naplno slunce. V pozadí tmavý smrkový les.
