Buen día y muy feliz jueves preciada audiencia, desde hace un tiempo he estado tomando algunas macrofotografías de insectos que he encontrado en la casa (pronto las estaré publicando también), sin embargo, la toma que más quería realizar, era la de una araña saltadora (o saltarina).
Las arañas me fascinan, pero a la vez tengo cierto miedo a ellas, es un acertijo envuelto en el misterio de una contradicción. Me atrae lo extrañas que son, criaturas de ocho patas y ocho ojos (hace preguntarme: ¿Cómo sería ver de la manera en que lo hace una araña?), además de que son fantásticas arquitectas por los increíbles diseños de las telarañas que tejen o las trampas que preparan (dependiendo de las especies), y el buen control de plagas que las arañas representan.

Spiders fascinate me, but at the same time I am somewhat afraid of them, it is a riddle wrapped in the mystery of a contradiction. I am attracted to how strange they are, creatures with eight legs and eight eyes (makes me wonder: what would it be to see like a spider do it?), besides the fact that they are fantastic architects because of the incredible designs of the webs they weave or the traps they prepare (depending on the species) and the good pest control that spiders represent.
Por otra parte, lo que me causa temor es tener una araña sobre mí o estampar mi cara sobre una gran telaraña, cosa que casi ha ocurrido un par de veces en el pasado.
Yo imagino que esta especie de miedo que les tengo se remonta a cuando era muy niño y dormía junto a mis padres, me estaba quedando dormido, tenía mis ojos cerrados y de pronto al abrirlos ¡SORPRESA! Había una araña patona bastante más grande de lo normal descendiendo del techo y estaba casi sobre mi cara. Grité bastante y mi papá la quitó enseguida.

I imagine that this kind of fear I have of them goes back to when I was a child and I slept next to my parents, I was falling asleep, I had my eyes closed and suddenly when I opened them SURPRISE! There was a much larger than normal spider coming down from the ceiling and it was almost on my face. I screamed a lot and my dad took it out right away.
Ya no tengo el miedo que les tenía antes, actualmente sería más bien como cierto asco a lo que comenté anteriormente, no obstante, la idea de lograr una buena macrofotografía de ellas hizo que esto se desvaneciera para la ocasión.
El día de ayer, se me presentó esta oportunidad de obtener la ansiada macrofotografía que tanto había esperado. Mientras me dirigía a llenar el envase de agua de mis gatos antes de salir a trabajar, me encontré con una araña saltadora, un poco más grande de las que habitualmente observaba en la casa, cuestión que para la ocasión, me vino como anillo al dedo para poder contemplar mejor los detalles en las fotos.

Yesterday, I had this opportunity to get the long awaited macrophotography I had been waiting for.
