Long time no see swallowtail butterfly

Hello... Hive.blog lovers

How are you all? Of course fine, and excellent...

We here mention its name as a swallowtail butterfly, while in our local language, it is often referred to as a black striped butterfly, but unfortunately children in today's era do not recognize it anymore, this is due to its lack of presence in our wilayah

As I recall, it was explained that this swallowtail butterfly, is one of the species that has a size larger than the size of other ordinary butterflies. Scientifically and based on the search results of each team that has observed it and has very accurate information, it turns out that in Indonesia itself there are very many types, but they are scattered in every area that is still within Indonesia's own territory.

Insect experts who are engaged in biological sciences and their collections have as many as 550 species (protected by the state), a large number that has not been observed or is still under further research in the field. I myself have not seen him in our residential area for a long time, if you want to meet him, you have to walk a long way, namely in the Aceh forest.

Why is it rarely seen in residential areas?

Of course, there are several important reasons that we should know about it, then some of them are ;

A. There is no suitable land for a breeding process

As we all know, each type of animal certainly has an instinct in making choices, especially regarding the location of the nest as a breeding ground. Especially for butterflies, they will always look for land that will carry out a suitable and suitable process for their offspring. Of course what he will pay attention to is nutritious plants or leaves (for larval food), then another thing is the safety of the environment itself when laying eggs, larvae, and pupae, because when the chicks enter a certain phase in the nest location (the preferred environment), they are still hunted by other animals, who are often their descendants.

In general, they really like to choose a location away from human activities, and this right is often seen in the dense foliage of wild plants. It is very rare to find cocoons and their larvae dominating the weeds and cotton plants, if any, only kapok plants and wild weeds are not touched by human activities (hidden).

B. Breeding process twice a in year

During the observation of the activities of the breeding process, it is seen 2 times a year, namely on;

  1. In spring
  2. At the beginning of the dry season.

In this respect, they look different from the butterflies that are often seen in residential areas, such as the ordinary plain tiger butterfly, or the Towny Coster butterfly. In my view, butterflies that are commonly seen in resident settlers often breed every month, except during certain seasons, especially in the territory of Indonesia where most of them have temperatures that are very suitable for their development.

So don't be surprised why the population of ordinary butterflies in general with swallowtail butterflies is different in number. This means that it often looks like an ordinary butterfly when compared to the swallowtail butterfly.

In fact, on the pitch I only see them once a year at the start of the summer, and even then in very minimal numbers. However, for some reason today, I saw the butterfly swallowtail itself flying in populated areas, especially urban areas.

I saw her flying high in the residential area, then trapped in a glass shelf as a transparent empty space, she couldn't find a way out to return to her habitat or to her final destination, so I felt sorry for her and before releasing her, I had the opportunity to pose with her in a few moments common and appropriate situations.

Although it seemed for a while, but I was very happy to meet him and had time to hold it with my own hands, this satisfaction became a very happy thing for me when I could reach it easily, not by force, when I grabbed it I also did it very carefully, because I was afraid that the wings would be torn by accident hand touch.

Finally I voluntarily released him into the wild, I saw he was very happy while flapping his wings because he had been freed from the trap of a transparent location. But unfortunately I can't take pictures from a distance because my smartphone is an old type. I hopefully you enjoy this tulisan. Like myself.

Thank you so much...
