The Japanese rhinoceros beetle is one of the species of rhinoceros beetle of the genus Trypoxylus family Scarabaeidae. These insects are native to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China. The Japanese call it kabutomushi because male imago has an antenna shaped like a horn on the head just like kabuto.
