I hope one of you can identify it and get more information about it.
It would help to know the approximate size of the beetle and where you found it.
I dare to claim the following: the beetle belongs to the family Scarabaeidae and the subfamily Cetoniinae.
Furthermore, my gut feeling tells me that we have to seek the species either in the tribus Cetoniini or - most likely - in the tribus Goliathini.
In case I find out more I will let you know. :)
