A bee collects pollen...

The bee is one of the few insects I like. Perhaps because of its much less aggressive form than the wasp and also the fact that it provides us with excellent honey, I always liked to photograph these insects in their ceaseless work of collecting pollen.

One of the biggest challenges in macro photography of winged insects is trying to get a net take of a bee in flight. I had already done many tests, often inconclusive, with bumblebees, but the bee is even faster and more agile than this one. Despite everything, I managed to have an acceptable landing result.

Well, as @jaki01 says, this is definitely not a bee. Not a black one nor one with another color. Where are the hairs and why is it so small compared to the daisy, also why does it not collect pollen on her back-feets?

Thanks, and anyway you still deserved another upvote for your last, great article. :)

You‘re welcome @jaki01 😊
Thank you so much 😊 Btw. this was not necessary 😉

What a strong reason you gave !! the bees starting the harvest are always empty-footed.

I also mentioned 2 other reasons!
What gear have you used to take this picture?

It s okay about this, I have a big reason from a specialist in biology..About the camera it is canon eos 700d.. Do you want any advice???

If that is a bee, I'm the Queen of England! :-)

There are many breeds of bees this one is The black bee (Apis Mellifera Mellifera) you can do a search on the internet and compare it with what you will find ...The Queen :D

No, it's obviously a fly (Diptera) species.

How many wings do you count? More than two, are you sure? Don't you recognize one of the halteres which are typical for Diptera?

Is not the same one..I am sure..

Lol, this is getting funny: I am a biologist, part of the work during my diploma thesis consisted of determining insect species. There is a reason why I created an insect community, and you, seriously(?), want to tell me a fly was a bee, are you kidding me?
Unfortunately, I won't be able to continue this interesting, scientific 'discussion'. Have fun with your 'bee'. :)

In this way, I have nothing to say to you because I believe very much in specialization..Hat down Mr. biologist. But at the beginning I did not like your way of speaking .. "If this one a bee I am the queen of kingdom "...

But at the beginning I did not like your way of speaking .. "If this one a bee I am the queen of kingdom "...

I am just honest/direct and made that joke to emphasize the significant distinctions in both cases, but didn't intend to offend you.
Actually, considered from a genetical point of view, the differences between a bee and a fly are much bigger than the differences between the "Queen of England" and me. :)
