Frank's Hearing - Just One Thing

frank.png

Frank and Henrietta loved their lives, they had been together now for about 60 years and had enjoyed every single minute of it.

They used to be inseparable as young adults and had managed to have 6 Children and now have approximately 18 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

I say approximately, because they couldn’t quite remember how many were in the clan now, but they knew it was a whole swag of noise and excitement when they all got together twice a year for their respective birthdays.

Frank was 92 this year and Henrietta was 96

Henrietta would always joke at how she went for a Toy Boy and Frank would always get embarrassed and go bright red in the cheeks.

Frank and Henrietta spent a great deal of time teasing each other and laughing. They enjoyed each other’s company immensely

Frank used to have a full head of hair and Henrietta loved that about him. Frank was grateful that Henrietta’s eye sight was going because she couldn’t see his bald spots.

He was also very grateful that her hearing wasn’t as good as it used to be because she couldn’t hear him creak every time he took a step,

Well that’s what he called it anyway.

Henrietta loved the fact that Frank couldn’t see so well these days because her body wasn’t what it used to be and she forever had to repeat herself because Frank couldn’t hear so well anymore.
She had told him numerous times to do something about his ‘creaking’ but he just wasn’t hearing it.

Frank and Henrietta awoke this day, It would have been about 5 am, they both didn’t sleep much anymore. It was a little chilly. Frank got up first and put on his dressing gown and slippers, Henrietta wasn’t too far behind.

Henrietta looked at Frank and said

Frank Dear, It is very chilly this morning, don’t you think you should put on more Clothes
What Frank said? There’s nothing wrong with my Toes

No No Henrietta said. More Clothes, More clothes.

Frank looked at her a bit bewildered, what, why would you want the door closed; we need to go through it to get downstairs,

Exasperated Henrietta said. Not Close, More Clothes, More Clothes

But I have my slippers on said Frank

At this point Henrietta just decided to give up and looked at Frank Lovingly

Frank saw that look and said to Henrietta ‘Darling its very chilly this morning, you will need to put on more Clothes ‘
