Well the A's have been extremely clutch the past two games over their division rivals! I'm really happy for them! I grew up dreading when the A's play the Angels and this four game series only proved why I do as the Angels were really competitive. Every single game besides the second was extremely dramatic! Every game besides that second was decided by a run! A spoiled no-hitter that became a walk-off homer for the Angels, and two consecutive extra innings victories for the A's! I know this word is used often but his whole series truly was cinema!

These past two victories in extras took the edge off that heartbreaker in game one a bit for sure.

Yesterday Luis Severino was excellent on the mound! He pitched seven innings and allowed only two runs while striking out ten batters. He somehow didn't get the win though! Tough. Again he's oddly pitching better than his numbers suggest, but I know how good and valuable he is! Great work by Severino! The A's were down 2-0 for about half the game as Severino gave up two in the first. But then Severino locked in and didn't allow another run and gave the A's a chance which they took advantage of! What a pro!

Nick Kurtz extended his on-base streak to 44 and got the scoring started in the sixth with an RBI single. Kurtz is just killing it lately! Dude is truly growing into a full fledged star. Darell Hernaiz tied it up with an RBI single of his own the next inning. I haven't talked about Hernaiz much but he's been very good too! Then Zack Gelof got himself an RBI in the tenth and the A's then secured their third consecutive win!

Tonight the A's face one of the better National League teams in the Padres with Jeffrey Springs pitching for the A's. Another unique test for the A's! A familiar, but less talented Angels team, and now a talented less familiar Padres team! Should be fun.

#GOATHLETICS!!!
