I've liked Jonathan Taylor since I observed him as a prospect entering the 2020 NFL Draft. I watched his highlights while he was at Wisconsin and was immediately impressed. Taylor had great great power and athleticism that seriously popped off the screen.

But then, when I saw the Colts drafted him in the second round of that Draft, I was immediately worried. My worry would prove to be justified.

Jonathan Taylor hit the scene as a rookie and immediately established himself as a real player, a dude here to stay. He ran for over 1,100 yards and had 11 rushing touchdowns.

If that wasn't great enough, the following season in 2021 Taylor entered freaking MVP conversations as he flirted with 2,000 rushing yards, ultimately reaching a league leading 1,811, which is an elite mark nonetheless. Taylor also led the league in rushing touchdowns with an insane mark of 18. Plus, he still got to enjoy hitting 2,000 total yards from scrimmage though. In total Taylor had 2,171 yards from scrimmage and 20 total touchdowns.

Taylor for sure had a down year in 2022. He dealt with injuries causing him to miss six games and to be fair, the entire Colts roster had a bad year in 2022.

As long as Taylor can stay healthy, and he can move past some drama going on with him and the franchise, I see no reason why Taylor can't come back better than ever. He's still only 24! Even for a running back, that's pretty young.
