So the Phillies won on Sunday, officially finishing their season 96-66. The season is over now, and the playoffs are HERE. Well, they've been here but since the Phillies had a bye week they play their first game today. I am so ready.

Days like this are why a 162 game season IS AMAZING! The grandiose epicness of this marathon of a season is truly unmatched. This is magical stuff.

In 2025 everyone wants instant gratification, instant this, instant that, zero patience for anything. Nobody wants to take their time and smell the roses. When you play a 162 game season and MAKE the playoffs I believe that shows who the best teams are more than most professional sports leagues. Who are the true ball players? Day in, day out who plays the best on average over months at a time. Anyone can get hot for a month, even two months but who can stay steady from March-October? THAT proves who's who and what's what. Who truly lives and breathes baseball? Who can get up practically every single day and prove themselves? That type of stamina is impressive.

A 162 game baseball season, might be the most anti-brainrot schedule/sport in existence.

The Phillies are out to prove if they have what it takes. Finally. This Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, J.T. Realmuto (to name a few) era has proved they are really good, but are they truly championship worthy? Time is ticking, mother nature is coming. This might be their final year with this core intact to make history.

To say I'm nervous would be an understatement.

Baseball is really one of the most beautiful sports I tell ya. Days like this make me remember days of my childhood playing ball. Truly they may have been the greatest days of my life besides beautiful days with my son of course. The Phillies are such a special franchise to so many people including myself. After such a long season, it's come down to this. Get it done or go home.

I hope the Phillies fans are their loudest, most toxic selves. Live up to, and embrace this so called 'poor' reputation that politically correct, unfun, soft individuals love to say about Philly. I hope the Dodgers can't even think. I hope they can't communicate. The Phillies fans must be the tenth man, the second batter.

The Dodgers are really good of course. This is undeniably a really hard matchup in the very first round, but it's also hard for the Dodgers.

It's Shohei Ohtani on the mound versus Cristopher Sánchez. Ohtani is great, but the Phillies must overcome and make him grind on the mound. Get his pitch count as high as humanly possible. Put pressure on him that way, because then he'll have to bat as well. If the fellas can fatigue him, that could be great. I have faith that Sánchez will be on point.

It's all come to this. LET'S GO!!!
