It sounds like FUD to me. Pakistan is predominantly Sunni Muslim. Makes no sense at all why that match would be targeted. Pakistan and India play lots of games around the world which would be much easier targets.
I made sure to pull from a source outside the US because I know stuff can be slanted one way or the other here pretty bad.
