The world of sports is an ephemeral clime where when you're performing, you're adored and even worshipped and the moment you falter, you're thrown to the Wolves.
It's disheartening, because everyone who falters should be given a fair chance at rising without calling for their head. I hope fans get to learn to be patient with these athletes as they're also humans and are bound to make mistakes
