You are very right, I don't know if you even been in a real fight, but everything you learnt in a dojo goes out the window. All the BJJ skills learnt after hours of rolling, are useless in a real fight, because cheap shots can end fight, and very often two opponents or three bully one person. In all martial art competitions, there is a referee to stop the fight and implement fairness. That's why the best option, is to run away from a fight (unless you are cornered and have no choice).
