Nightmare fuel.

Some people watch/ read horror stories or play scary games. For me that was never my thing. I guess I prefer to torture myself by watching basketball. And my favorite basketball team is doing everything in their pover to destroy my nerves and give me nightmares. So in this euroleague season they played six games. And lost four of those six games. That is really bad start(especially because I tend to be optimistic and expect them to win or at very least put up a good fight every time). The signs of upcoming doom were already here before the season. I just choise to ignore them I guess? We lost few of our best players after great last season. Namely Sylvain Francisco and Moses Wright. We were not able to find any player who could replace Francisco. So instead of quality we tried changing him value to the team by adding more quantity-we signed a few players in oeder to try to hide the loss of Francisco- Carsen Edwards and Saben Lee. The problem with that is that Francisco was both awesome scorer and passer. And neither of the new guards are that good at either of those things. Sure Carsen Edwards can score from time to time. But he also tries to make insanely stupid shots without passing the ball to look for a better opportunity. So far it seems that he is completely headless and doesn't care about the team. That is already bad but if we also consider how many times he misses in order to get his 16 or 17 points he becomes extremely inefficient. A true liability to the team. And Saben Lee tries to play more for the team and pass the ball. His problem is that I don't think that he hit at least one three pointer. So he is also very limited.

So our guards situation is already a dissasrer but things are not better with our bigs either. Instead of Moses Wright my favorite team bought Jonas Valančiūnas- one of the best lithuanian players who despite his age can still be a force on offence. But Valančiūnas is not good at defence. And on offence his strengths are not used properly most of the time because Nigel Williams-Goss(our main point guard) was injured for a few weeks. Our best player(?) Tubelis is also playing despite some injury/ pain. And another of our guards (Maodo Lô) started shooting bricks this season for some reason... So considering that and the facts that: 1. our only Euroleague level center Jonas Valančiūnas is bad at defence and 2. our guards situation is a mess this looks very gtim. Before the season I hoped that despite those serious problems the team will be decent enough. But now I see that a bunch second rate or headless players can't replace one game changing player(Francisco). My favorite team really tried to keep him. But despite that it now seems that they did not try hard enough. Nigel Williams-Goss is great playmaker but he is not enough. Especially because he is often injured. And paying Valančiūnas millions just because he is lithuanian who was in nba for a long time was seemingly a huge mistake. Valančiūnas and Moses Wright together would one of the center posisions in the Euroleague. But I really think that having Valančiūnas as our only real center was stupid move. So at the moment even an optimist like me is not seeing things in bright light right now. Maybe I am wrong and this will not be a complete disaster in the end. But odds of that are slim. Anyway I think that we should start saving money to bring Sylvain Francisco back in the future. And maybe build him a statue... Because right now this shit is not working...

Hopefully, your team turns things around soon! 😊

I hope so as well.

I hardly ever watch sport in tv, basketball, football whatever I prefer to just play games. Esport is my thing.

Sometimes I just watch Worldcup because I know that teams are motivated enough to make great show!

I think that playing games is more relaxing. But playing games professionally would likely ruin my nerves as well.

You just need to believe in yourself.

Games like Splinterlands are cool because I can relay on myself and no others.

So when I lose that's only my mistake sometimes just no luck. No one to blame.

I hate playing games where you need full team of players like in League of Legends and someone could be boosted or troll your game easily.

I never played League of Legends. I am quite sure that the only competitive game I ever played was Splinterlands.

So good for you.

League of Legends (LOL in short) could be really annoying.

I had situations where in ranked game player said that he gonna lose my game because I have too good win ratio.

After that he just doing everything to lose my game. So there are toxic people and they don't care.

In Splinterlands if I meet player like this he need to play the best he can or he just lose versus me. He can't troll me, throw the game and if he decide to hit surrender button only he lose points, not like in LOL where full team of players lose ranked game because weak players votes 3x yes for surrender and 2x for no surrending.
